Delayed/unresponsive movement
Lately while playing any online game mode, the game has felt delayed, unresponsive, and/or slow. Passing, dribbling, shooting, moving, etc. It was tolerable a couple of months ago but recently it has gotten worse. I’m almost certain it’s not my controller because it’s five days old and it can’t be my internet because I’m wired and pull 300 mbps up/down and my latency is low so not sure what the problem is with the game or servers. Curious to see if anyone is experiencing this as well.Tags: None -
Re: Delayed/unresponsive movement
I think it's a legacy issue with the game. I play offline, btw.#HeatNation

Re: Delayed/unresponsive movement
A lot of us guys who play, play now online have the same problem. The lag makes it almost impossible to be competitive.

Re: Delayed/unresponsive movement
see if it does it offline too, if it's offline, you might have to change some settings on your TV, lot of TV's have game mode... but if its only online, it 's called lag.Comment

Re: Delayed/unresponsive movement
Nah it's not that. I play on game mode. As far as offline goes, it seems like there are times where my player moves a little more slow, or I'm not able to do something, and it just happens to be at a convenient time for the CPU. Whether it be when I'm trying to do a quick inbound, jumping late on a block, or simply moving slow when trying to help, there seems to be some type of input delay.#HeatNation

the connection can vary depending on your opponent. if you opponent had a Bad setup or connection that the game can feel very slow.Lately while playing any online game mode, the game has felt delayed, unresponsive, and/or slow. Re: Delayed/unresponsive movement
It's just another legacy issue that has plagued this game for years, nothing new to report here. It's also REALLY EASY to spot before you play an actual game: Just look at the loading circle on the corner of your screen as you scroll through menus. Takes a ridiculously long time to load up anything.
I first noticed this in 2k17, and thought my internet was having it's good & bad days, but now realize 2k servers are awful.
You're absolutely forced to play Off-ball D.Comment

Re: Delayed/unresponsive movement
2K20 compared to previous 2K games has seen the game speed at a slower pace for a more “realistic” feel. All of my friends complain about it but I actually like it. All you have to do is adapt to it and it’s straightforward after that. 2K19 was fast paced and felt “arcadey” at times compared to 2K20. What I don’t understand is that during launch week the game felt amazing. Then they listened to the people that want the game easier for them to cheese and exploit and for a day the game speed was fast. Then they tuned it to where it’s slow again but it’s definitely not the same as it was when the game launched. Devs need to stop listening to these people and let them adapt to the game.Comment

You know that there is a difference between slow gameplay and delayed and unresponsive movement/controls? The latter says you give your controlled player an input and he does not directly reacts to it. Does also happen if you open up for example the subs menu. Starting from quarter 2 you have to manually quit the on the fly subs menu (i dont know why it automatically closes in q1 and then it stays open later....). If you hit the buttons too fast, the game simply cannot follow your instructions...Comment

Re: Delayed/unresponsive movement
I noticed while playing last night that the controls were a little delayed, I’d do a dribble move and it would play out like a split second later....... but it seems to come and go, pretty strange cause it’s not all the time
