NBA 2k20 Inbound defender starts out of position

So I was playing a Myleauge game and I was the Lakers and I noticed Paul George started two inbound plays really out of position. I searched the forum for something like this and I couldn't find it. Maybe I didn't do it well enough. Here are the examples. Sorry I forgot about PS4 Share.

I watched the videos you posted and I have seen that before. The AI is notorious for lack of basic IQ on the inbounds.

A combination of having icon passing icons up and pass fakes allows me to slowly creep toward the free throw line when inbounding in PNO player control.

Refs never call the violation when I pass it "in". Honestly its not useful to do intentionally. Its just a side effect of guards who won't play their role and secure the inbounds, running past the half court.

Now if the inbounder is inbounds before receiving the pass from the ref? never seen it.

Huh, that's a bit odd. I know it's easy to take advantage of the guy who is guarding the inbounds -- on the sideline OOB at least -- but usually the only time I see something as egregious as the PG ones there is here and there after a timeout. The AI is generally bad after a change of possession or out of bounds play, but not usually in that way (at least in my experience).
