Madden PC = SUCK?
 

I read somewhere that Madden 2005 for the PC was an exact port from the console versions.

But I also read somewhere else that the PC version does not have the "A.I. assist" feature (or whatever it's called) to help the player on defense.

So which is it? It can't be an "exact" port if EA Sports took out certain features. What possible reason could EA Sports have in removing that one particular feature?

Also, what are the recommended specs for Madden 2005? The official website is totally useless for information like that.

I have PC version and I'll tell you this....I havent seen anything in it so far (with limited run time) that makes me say it was necessary to delay it one month after consoles.

No player editing during franchises.
No team captains.
No assist features.

Seems like that extra month was spent taking stuff out.

However, the graphics look amazing on max detail, it does what ESPN 2K5 does (bump mapping etc) but a crap load better. Plus the models appear leaner and not so bulky, must be an aspect ratio thing.

They do have the Auto-Avoid assist feature, but I don't use it. I would use the Defense Pass Assist option if it were available.

I like the PC version's graphics and stuff like that, but it just does not control as crisply as the console versions...kicking is HORRID moving from console to PC.

That's the part that really p***es me off. What possible reason could EA Sports have in castrating the PC version? They actually go out of their way to remove stuff from a game that was already made. I don't get it at all.

They're just being mean for the sake of being mean.
