The star player T.J. Reed Jr. for the Orioles in my fictional franchise; lost his 18 game hitting streak after pinch running in an extra inning game.

Its not wrong. He played in the game and didnt get a hit. Sucks to go out like that, but it is accurate.

For a hitting streak to end, a batter must go hitless with at least one official at bat. So 0-1 at a minimum. A batter can get 4 at bats and walk in all four and keep a hit streak alive, since he technically went 0-0. Pinch running should not end a hit steak.
