Basic Question re: Historic Rosters

PS4 player with very basic question: I have last few versions of game but have never used custom rosters before. Are there complete roster sets and draft classes so that I can start in a historic year and then play with new rookies with each year thereafter (not necessarily on actual teams—just wherever they happen to get drafted in game)? Sorry if missing something obvious but couldn’t find comprehensive list.

You can download the roster of the year you want from the Download option when you use Custom Roster on MyLeague. There are a lot of good ones.
For draft classes you do the same, Load/Download and search the year.
2K draft classes are messed up, don't recommend them

They have a few real players and a lot of generic. Real players also doesn't apply as Rookie on the season

Been searching on this forum for the last few hours trying to figure out if this is possible lol. Doesn't seem like many have advanced past a few years without the game crashing and a few years seems to be optimistic.

Has anyone started in the 90's or 2000's and actually made it to ~present day?

I have a 2007-2008 Roster Out atm on PS4 With Draft Classes up to 2008-2011 Done, Im Working to complete all the draft classes up to now ...

After im done that i will go back in time and try and get done maybe 10 more Drafts and make a 1999-2000 Roster

I'm in year 3 of your roster and it's the best roster I have played. As a massive Boston Celtics fan having been obsessed with that team and season, I can say it truly feels proper. My team feels like the Celtics should feel and the opposing teams like Detroit felt perfect. This 2007/2008 roster is epic and I'm super picky in this stuff.

I reccomend
Cutch, MJ WIZARDS and CelticLG rosters so far. 2k19 "TimDunk" had some great rosters as well.
