Completely unconnected but:

1. Is there any way to stop players changing position when I switch custom tactics during the game? For example, when I switch from Balanced to Defensive during the game, I have to pause to rearrange my players because my LCM will switch to CDM and my CDM to CAM. My LWB and LCB also switch. It's annoying.

2. Is there a way to manually pick the ball up with the goalkeeper? For example, the CPU plays a through ball but my keeper comes out and sweeps it up ahead of their player. I can dribble it back into my box but the goalkeeper doesn't automatically pick it up.

1. Yes there's a way to stop players from changing positions. Before you play, you need to check all the tactics and make sure all the players are in the correct positions.
2. Unfortunately, No.

I can possibly add one nice tip for keeping the positions aligned. In your main team sheet (before you go into any game mode or before start match), make sure each player that's in your "balanced" plan is also in the positions that you want those players to be in other game plans. This is before you tinker with moving players around, either between positions or bringing in someone that was not a starter originally.

And then with that as your team sheet setup as a baseline, if you're making position adjustments either before that game or during the game, if you are going to switch positions of two players that are on the field, if you directly swap them, it only swaps them in that game plan and leaves them in their original positions in other game plans. What I do is, if I want them to swap for all plans, I switch player1 with someone from the bench, then put player1 into player2 position and swap player2 into player1's original position and the guy from bench is back in his old place, the bench and player1 and 2 swapped positions for all game plans. I almost never switch two players on the field within. Hope this helps.

What's even more sad is now all tournaments in tournament mode crash. EA is terrible. Hopefully they fix this in FIFA 21.
