Being able to customize leagues (number of teams, divisions) with the current rebranding option would have been a good addition to Franchise.

We need the real life schedule, real divisions, able to edit positions on cards or able to use our own 40 man roster, we need better stat tracking, league leaders, mvp awards, gold glove awards, ROY Awards etc...

Great article!

More in depth features for online custom leagues is definitely needed. Heading into next gen, hopefully SDS adds the following.

Custom Leagues should resemble franchise mode with divisions and American/National leagues, in season scouting, offseason with draft, resignings, free agency, etc.

Real schedules with 2, 3, and 4 game series

Specific lineups need to be added vs RHP/LHP with DH and no DH

Player editing for numbers and equipment

Player progression/regression

Fatigue for Position Players and realistic injuries

Stats - League leaders and awards, historical stats tracking as the custom league progresses from each season

Players retiring and getting inducted into the HOF or becoming coaches, scouts, and/or managers

Fantasy Drafts

Farm Systems

Custom Rosters

I think SDS knows how to improve online leagues, as well as offline franchise too. what they don't know how to do is convince Sony to loosen the purse strings to fund the implementation :(

Haha did we expect too much?

Did anyone really expect much from this mode? I kept saying to those people who were looking at this as an Online Franchise alternative that they would be severely disappointed.

I just want Online Franchise back. I certainly do not see it happening though. Those were the best show days of my life when me and my 3 buddies would get 10+ seasons in.

We should be able to use MLB NETWORK theme in custom leagues, we should have the option to use broadcast in custom leagues not stuck on fast play we are missing out on tons of audio lines and presentation.

I only play online and glad leagues came back but seeing all the MLB network signage around ball parks, but cant pick MLB network theme really is a letdown.

Custom leagues 40 MAN live rosters that load into custom leagues doesn't have free agents like the DD LEAGUE making it harder and harder to keep rosters balanced as we cant edit anything cant edit a pitcher from SP or RP making us limited. As of right now there's 8 teams with only 7 starting pitchers rest are relief pitchers.

So a owner in a league only has 2 options of calling up a starter from there minors while other teams have 5-8 extra starters the rosters are not very balanced to run a successful league.

Not having divisions and league leaders is a real head scratcher why this was not included.

Not having some form of a real 2020 MLB schedule or a generated one with 3 or 4 game series is another missing component we need.

No option to load sliders into league from hard drive or vault is another key function missing.
