PC PS3 emulation has come a long way
I honestly didn't think the game would be this playable, its butter smooth and looks f'n great for a 9 year old game. Best part is you can import CABS.

Tools to extract files from FNC have been around for a while. You needed a modded console though to import them back.
PC is a different animal.
Here is Mike Tyson with face and Che Guevara torso tattoos.

Re: PC PS3 emulation has come a long way
This thread made my week. I had no idea this was possible. I had no idea that there was a team of people already working on edits/mods for games like NCAA 14.
Thanks for this Bamtino.Comment

Omg! I agree w aholbert, this made my week! I literally thought about paying modders who work on other games like a lot of money to try and mod fight night. This is crazy. Can somebody please link me to the best modding sites for FNC.

Re: PC PS3 emulation has come a long way
As far as I am aware, I am the entire FNC modding community right now.
This game has held up very well which is why I am willing to put in the time to revive this classic plus I love this sport and its a travesty we went a whole gaming gen without a boxing game.
I made this thread to bring attention to the possibilities PC PS3 emulation has introduced. A roster update and better textures is all we really need for FNC. I am willing to put in the time and effort but I need help, this has to be a community project. The biggest need right now is someone proficient in PS3 save SYS-DATA editing where CABS are stored. All EA games that use(d) Gameface save textures to an offline save. I can extract textures through HEX but currently I have no way of re-importing them.
Even if you can't mod, you can still provide valuable input on boxer sliders, getting fighters to feel right is equally important to getting them to look right.Last edited by Bamtino; 06-09-2020, 03:55 AM.Comment

Re: PC PS3 emulation has come a long way
The ability to add textures to CABs and Arenas could make this game feel amazingly fresh. The ability to change things like age and records on CABs, AI logic/sliders on a deeper level could damn near turn this into a new game.

Bro, Thanks for your efforts, I am down to help out. I have so many questions, but here are just a few.
* what are you using to export and mod that Tyson you did?
* can you export trunks and other accessories to mod? (This would prob be something I can mod)
*would it be easier to find fake fighter files that were in FNC and mod those instead of CABs?
*what other areas have you been able to mod? Sound, fighter bios, ring ?
I got really excited seeing that picture of the Tyson face file, because I’m assuming that as long as we can find certain files, the modding shouldn’t be that difficult(apart from faces, those are much more difficult). So we can make authentic trunks and ring floors with appropriate sponsors using a program like photoshop.
At the end of the day, I would really just like to fight with current fighters that look and fight like their real human selves. Real audio and authentic trunks and accessories would be icing on the cake, but I think you’re on to something. We should reach out to Reddit , PES, and 2k community.
