People have to remember they would have needed vanessa's permission to put Kobe on the cover and she's made it clear that the family still struggles to see media of him. So if it doesn't happen hopefully everyone leaves it alone.

They did add Kobe content into MyTeam. I think it took longer than most were expecting so it made me believe that 2k was able to reach some agreement with the family regarding using Kobe's likeness.

Just being speculative here, but in the Current Gen Cover Athlete trailer that 2K released I found it a bit odd that they used the TNT footage from Dame's game winning 3 vs the Thunder. Usually, they would edit out the scorebug or use footage from a different angle to not include that.

Gotta admit a VC cover in a vintage Raptors jersey would be pretty sweet for the legend.

Way too soon for a Kobe cover. There is a big difference between game content and being on the cover. A few years from now would be better. I can't see his family being ok with him being on the cover this soon.
