Top 5 games this gen?
 

I’m mostly a shooter/multiplayer guy. I’m sure there are plenty of great solo games I missed out on. I’m trying to see what You all have as a top list just to see what games I may have missed on out.

Games I completed this year -
Spider-Man
Resident Evil 2 remake
The Last of Us 2

Almost done with God of War.

Horizon Zero Dawn
Red Dead Redemption 2
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Trying to think of games I completed last few years. Can only think of Bloodborne.

Thus far, I have completed 102 games for this generation. Below are the games that I have rated a 9.0/10 or 9.5/10 overall. I have 3 games left for this generation. Ghost of Tsushima, Mafia Remake and Wasteland 3. I don't see any of them cracking my top 6.

on a serious note, my top 5 list this gen probably looks something like:

1. The Last of Us Part 2
2. Red Dead Redemption 2
3. Mortal Kombat 11
4. Halo: Master Chief Collection
5. Modern Warfare

Still need to play through DOOM Eternal and finish up Death Stranding, though. They'd probably bump out Halo MCC and MW for 4 and 5 once I finally get around to finishing them. Never got around to getting Horizon or God of War, probably should

I tried Witcher 3 I just couldn’t get into it. Saddens me because it’s so well loved. I almost bought Days Gone the other day because it was for $14 bucks. I’m sure I’ll grab it next time it’s on sale.

Why couldn't you get into Witcher 3? I loved Days Gone. So damn underrated in my opinion. It was basically the open world zombie/freaker dream game that I have always wanted plus it had a Sons of Anarchy feel to it which I loved so hell yeah!!!

And I can't wait to play Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox Series X!!! I'm fully expecting it to be my 2020 game of the year unless it gets delayed again.

Witcher 3 took me three fits and quits, three buys, and only after a long talk with a buddy and a commitment on the fourth attempt did I finish it. You have to give it 10 hours. It's hard, it's weird, combat sucks initially, but if you give it the chance it's the GOAT!

Three fails and now on my fourth full playthrough in two and a half years. Nothing else compares...will have to think about this list.
