Help??
I am not good at playing the market with the cards or anything , but this is the first year I've played DD on a regular basis .. I have a pretty decent team but am getting killed by people with the Bellingers and Trout's, so just trying to see if anyone has any tips on how to get the better cards without spending tons of money

Re: Help??
You could start by trying to go after the past monthly/free cards (i.e. Correa, Gregorious, Bellinger, and associated cards), as well as the featured inning cards (i.e. Bob Gibson, Andre Dawson, etc...). The game this year features several methods to enhance your DD team for free, the Jackie Robinson program also being one method.
Furthermore, if you enjoy playing showdowns, could go after team affinity cards (also free); I have E. Davis, Thome, Hershiser, Wood, Evans, Schmidt, Gwynn, and they are great cards for cheap/free. -
Re: Help??
so i started with June because i want Belli and i got through the Zunino and almost finished with Aguliar but the way ive done it is play the moments then play the one game against the team on all star or better and then do the exhanges .. is there a quicker or cheaper way to do these than this or is it the best way?Comment

Re: Help??
I hate moments, so I always try to do the stat missions first, then figure out what moments would be the least painful to do. One thing to keep in mind is that even though you can’t get earlier stage points when you’re in a later stage, the points for your current stage will carry over if you go over the points of that stage. Here’s an example in case I worded that weirdly. If you have 22 out of 25 points in stage one, if you then complete a mission worth 10 points, when you move on to stage 2, you would already have 7 points for stage 2.Comment

Re: Help??
What does your primary team look like? If you can post the roster, I bet we can offer some suggestions.I am not good at playing the market with the cards or anything , but this is the first year I've played DD on a regular basis .. Re: Help??
Yeah, if you're trying to compete online, you'll need a lot of help roster-wise. I assume your pitching is just in as bad a shape (no offense, just being honest).
The Cano is still around 50k in the market, I'd sell him off (unless he's like a personal fav or something).
There are a number of diamond level players under 10k right now....with that 45k (after the 10% tax), you can probably purchase maybe 5 decent Diamond players under 10k. I'd take a look at the marketplace for diamond level players for sale. There are a couple of sleepers for cheap there (like the Prime Shin Soo Choo) and a bunch of solid Live Series guys (LS guys get more quirks - so look at them carefully before dismissing due to ratings).
I think the monthly awards programs (especially June's and then July's when it goes Live) will be your best bet to start for the offline grind. Each one will give you 5 Diamond players. The Jackie Program (though long) is also a good place to begin.
Personal opinion, I'd do some serious offline grinding before going back online. You'll make more progress on getting guys.Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

Re: Help??
I’d say out of the starters you have you could keep Brock, Gorman, and Posey(assuming it’s the xp reward one) in the lineup and do well with them. Cano is good too, but like Josh said, you could sell him and help your team in a lot of positions. Plus, 2B is a spot where there are many really good free options (Sandberg, Robinson, Dietrich, Correa, Didi).Comment

Re: Help??
I just looked through the market, and there a lot of great values there right now. I tried to keep my recommendations under 10,000, but the ones I have on there over that are absolute steals at their current prices.
CF - Awards McCutchen (14000), LS Acuna (8000)
RF - Prime Choo (9000), LS Yelich(9000), players league Gallo (6000)
SS - Rollins (10000), LS Baez (6000)
2B - Awards Murphy (8000)
3B - Boggs (16000), AS M Cabrera(16000)
1B - HRD Giambi (7000), LS Freeman (6000)
C - Awards Perez (9000)Comment

Re: Help??
I haven’t hit well with the FS Carlson, which is a shame because I did well with his prospect card. I probably didn’t give him enough time, but he came out around the same time as Walker and all the new FOTF cards and I’ve been spending the last couple weeks prestiging cards in the event. I’ll give him another try at some point, his swing is good.Comment
