Why does the transition bar disappear?

I was playing online against a GSP, almost submitted him round 1, round 2 he takes me down and my transition options dont appear, then he gets me in a sub and finishes me. Why does this **** happen? For online play, yall gotta fix these issues so everybody can have a fair chance. Offline mode is great, online needs work

Are you playing legacy controls? I’ve never had an issue playing with them. If you are playing online you should use legacy if you want to be remotely competitive

I am using legacy, this guy slammed me and my transitions didn't pop up, then he initiated a sub and got me.

Is it because of the power of the slam? Or are dudes already finding ways to cheat?
