Please tell me we will be able to relive some of Kobe's greatest moments on 2k21?

Remember when we had Jordan Challenge? Relived some of his greatest games? 2k11 was amazing just for that mode alone! Or how about 2k14 when they Had a mode called Lebron's Path to Greatness? I don't knock online, I know people love it. But because this is a homage to Kobe, we need to able to relive some of his greatest moments. Thoughts? If we don't have anything like this, I have no excitement for 2k21 at all. If you're going to focus on Kobe, make sure you give Kobe the Love not to mention the fans.

I'd love this, but I wouldn't count on it. Mamba Forever edition just seems to be a ton of junk for online modes.

Well, we haven't heard much in terms of information regarding what's in this year. Especially about classic teams/myleague etc etc - I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but you know 2K - all they really care about is online fantasy stuff. That's their money maker.

NBA Live 10 gives you achievements/trophies for performing Kobe moments.
Just saying.

didn't they have an anniversary game with Kobe on the cover? Was it 10 maybe? IT had nothing about Kobe Bryant in terms of content, was nothing but his name on the cover!!!

I'm sure Mike going from Live 10 back to 2k11 and all of a sudden the Jordan Challenge thing being a mode wasn't a coincidence. They even expanded on it with 2k12, with more players. Granted this was just achievements, not full-blown game modes, but the thought was there. And Live 09 didn't have them either.

Definitely the glory days of 2K IMO, I think after they made the jump to next gen it was downhill from those single player experiences. I’m glad I still have my ps3 and 360 to go back.

2K provides Weekly MyTeam Challenges that are equivalent to these modes.

People wax nostalgic for something so last-gen (literally a week's worth of content) they don't realize they've been getting superior content delivered regularly for years.

Yes, there will be Kobe content/challenges spread across the year. It's reasonable to expect some to available at launch (this is a no-brainer and it would be staggeringly incompetent if it wasn't the case).

2K also had player specific trophies in the early days, stuff like get a 5x5 w/ Andrei Kirilenko.

The Jordan Challenge was it's own thing. The reason they had a fleshed out mode that they could market was to justify them shelling out a ton of money for Jordan's likeness (as well as the other classic players).

To give all that credit to one person is a bit short-sighted as far as the bigger picture is concerned. I'm sure Mike contributed to the success of the mode but they were going in that direction with or without him.

I just want the 09 and 10 Laker rosters as classic teams. Something tells me it's Bynum and Odom holding that back though.

Yes, there will be Kobe content/challenges spread across the year. It's reasonable to expect some to available at launch (this is a no-brainer and it would be staggeringly incompetent if it wasn't the case).

Not all of us have a toe dipped into the VC modes, nor want to. Be nice if 2k added something outside of that realm, but I highly doubt it, as we're the minority.
