Recruiting House Rules

Spoiler

1. Can recruit from home state of Wyoming, regardless of initial interest level.

2. Can recruit from geographic area, pipeline state, or SPARQ Top 100 provided that my program is in said recruit's TOP 3 at the beginning of the season. Geographic area includes: ID, MT, UT, CO, ND, SD, NE.- - Aka Border States

3. Cannot target any 5-star recruits until after winning a major bowl (BCS, Rose, Fiesta, Sugar, Orange, Cotton, Peach all would count).

4. Can recruit maximum of 2 random players per year from anywhere in country provided that said recruits are not being pursued by any other programs (no scholarship offers, not on recruiting boards, and not receiving recruiting points to qualify) as of Week 6.

5. Cannot exceed roster limit of 70 players after recruiting class is completed, unless there will be corresponding cuts of walk-on, cpu generated players only.

6. One scholarship player will be cut each year for "academics." This player will be chosen based on lowest AWR attribute. Meaning, in the offseason at the cut player menu, the player with the lowest AWR will be cut regardless of any other attributes.

7. Everyone recruited must be redshirted.

8. Can only convince at most 2 players per year to stay

9. If we beat a power 5 top 15 ranked team in a bowl game, we can recruit two 4* recruits or one 5* recruit in their state the next year.

Coaching Progression

Starting as an LB coach. If a LB gets 10 sacks in a season or 5 interceptions, promote to LB and DE coach. Once the defense allows under 150 points a season, we promote to Defensive Coordinator. Then it's game on, just waiting for that HC job!

Wyoming hires new linebackers coach

AP: It's been an interesting year. But the Cowboys have decided to hire on a brand new coach at the linebackers position after Aaron Bohl was hired away!

Anyway, former linebacker Greg Burks from TCU has been chosen to replace Aaron Bohl.
Burks has his hands full, as Wyoming's linebacking corps is slightly depleted, but it should be alright. The Pokes are predicted to go 6-6 this year, expectations are low, and it should be just fine.



I will be the DC, but for playing purposes, just the LB coach for this season. Check the coaching progression rules in OP if confused

Those are some tuff stats to pull off especially with a program with Wyoming. Will be interesting to see how long it takes you to become a DC and HC.

Wyoming's schedule looks spicey for 2020!
8-31: At #20 Utah

9-21: At Air Force (MWC)

10-12 Vs New Mexico
10-19 Vs Colorado State

11-09: Vs Fresno State

Schedule Analysis
Most experts consider Wyoming's schedule a solid C+. Obviously getting to travel to Utah twice to play former MWC and WAC members Utah and BYU is a treat, but also a challenge.
Starting with 4 road games is never easy, but Wyoming should come away 2-2 with wins over Louisiana and Ball State. If they can sneak one away from Utah or BYU, then we have some magic happening!

At Boise is never easy, and having a 4 week stretch of Fresno, Boise, Hawai'i, and very good potential CFB buster Utah State, especially at the end of the season is just begging for a rough time of it.

Ultimately Wyoming looks like a 6-6 bowling team, but we shall see where the chips fall.

Injury Report Game Notes It's Here! The 2020 Football season is finally here! It's not 1969, that's for sure. Utah comes into the year as dark horse national title contender, looking to improve off their 11-3 season where they were a win against Oregon away from a College Football Bowl Bid! Wyoming is trying to improve on their 8-5 season where they won the Arizona Bowl. Biggest battle in this game is linebackers for Wyoming. If middle linebacker Chad Muma can get on the board early, this could be fun. If not, Utah will sit back and pick apart Wyoming's secondary and totally run away with this and improve their lead in the series. Right now Utah leads 51-31-1 overall.

WHAT THE FORK!?!
Well, 2020 started with a bang.
#4 Georgia upset #1 Clemson 31-28, putting the SEC firmly in the drivers seat for the Playoffs! Clemson will probably still make it at 12-1, but this is the first time in awhile they have had to run the table from week 2 in order to guarantee anything.

#2 Ohio State laid an egg vs unraked Buffalo, dropping a 41-40 loss in Overtime to the Bulls!

#3 Alabama defeated Utah State 42-7.

#5 LSU defeated Big XII TCU 41-31.

#6 Oklahoma was off this week.

#7 Penn State laid an egg to Syracuse, losing 24-12.

#8 Florida handled Toledo 49-20.
#9 Oregon beat FCS SDSU 55-9
And #10 Notre Dame was idle.

The Cowboys won that game, but this year momentum is swing the opposite way. The Ragin' Cajuns just beat Arkansas and are projected to finish 2nd in the Sun Belt. Really it comes down to the line vs the line. For ULL it's left tackle Max Mitchell (6'6, 300lbs) and for the Cowboys it's MLB Muma. Muma is at 0 sacks so far this year. He was projected for 11. He got to Utah's QB 5x last week, but came up empty handed. ULL's Levi Davis (5'10, 190) is a senior and not really shakeable. It'll be interesting if he is as easily shakeable as Utah was.

Top 25 Matchups to watch this weekend!

AP: Several big games are on tap this weekend.
#18 UCF vs #23 Penn State: Penn State's preseason national title hopes got a huge blow last week. UCF could end them this week and also get themselves a nice P5 victory to hopefully aid in their quest towards the Playoff this year!

#19 Cincinnati vs 1-0 Illinois: Weak P5 vs top G5. If Illinois wins, it will hurt everyone in the American's hopes that this is the year someone cracks the top 4! Illinois losing won't help the American's hopes, but if Illinois wins, whoever wins the American better destroy Cincinnati.

ECU vs #16 North Carolina: The same as Cincinnati vs Illinois, but this time, if ECU pulls off the victory, it will strengthen the American's hopes but a loss won't hurt them.


SDSU (1-0) vs #15 Ohio State (0-1). Ohio State needs a serious bounceback win after last week's OT upset at the hands of the Bulls. SDSU could really get themselves in the G5 conversation if they beat Ohio State.

#1 Georgia vs South Carolina (0-1). Georgia is headed into the trappiest trap game ever. Beat #1 who is a rival, then face a team who is unranked and lost to North Carolina.. That just reeks of a trap game.

#8 Notre Dame vs #13 Michigan. Whelp, whoever wins this has a marquee victory. Notre Dame has Michigan, Oklahoma, and USC as top 14 opponents to create that Playoff level schedule. Michigan has Notre Dame, Penn State, Iowa, and Ohio State. Given what happened to Penn and Ohio State last week, Michigan needs to go 12-0 more than Notre Dame does.

Around the nation in week 3

#1 Alabama travels to #10 Texas A&M
Currently 4 SEC West teams are ranked in the top 10. #1 Alabama, #2 LSU, #7 Auburn, and #10 Texas A&M.

LSU has a gimme game vs UAB this week, but #7 Auburn faces #19 Mississippi State this week. The SEC West will be extremely competitive this year. It will be interesting to see if anyone makes it out unscathed.

Also in SEC top 10 action, #4 Florida hosts the giant killer Appalachian State.

And #23 Tennessee travels to #5 Oregon

Well, 2020 is shaking up to be unpredictable! 3 #1 teams, and 3 have lost. Luckily the new #1 is off this week, so that cannot happen.

#1 Alabama hosted and lost to #10 Texas A&M 49-40
#2 LSU hosted and lost to UAB (2-0) 21-14 in a huge upset
#3 Oklahoma fended off Northwestern 32-28
#4 Florida killed App. State 52-0
#5 Oregon slipped up to visiting #23 Tennessee 35-33
