Will we see UFC 4 on next gen?
Ps5 and the new Xbox right around the corner. We going to see these games on there or is this game bound to die within the next couples months?PSNID: B_A_N_ETags: None -
Re: Will we see UFC 4 on next gen?
Interesting question, but I think it's safe to say they will. I know I played UFC 2 once a week right up til 3 launched. I shelved 3 after maybe 3 months, but I don't play online so others experience will be different.
Also, people will probably start grabbing it on sale later on.
As far as I can see the only thing holding it back would be compatibility issues, and EA obviously has the incentive to make sure that it runs on ps5 so that wouldn't be an issue either. -
Re: Will we see UFC 4 on next gen?
I dont think we will see an official PS5 version but I believe it will be backwards compatible with the PS5. This is just an assumption though based on what I know.Comment

Re: Will we see UFC 4 on next gen?
Serious question: Which one is it? I've heard people complain because EA has 2 1/2 years to make this game and they did little while you are saying the game was "rushed out" even though they took considerably longer to release this game.
How can it be both?
I'm not talking about the quality of the game (I'm on record about what I think about the game) but the timing thing is just confusing to me.Comment

Re: Will we see UFC 4 on next gen?
I cancelled my XBone pre-order. Then my lady bought me the game for my birthday on PS4. Already have my PS5 pre-ordered and both my current gen consoles are going toward the trade-in. If it's not gonna be backwards compatible that blows. I'm still not logging any time on this game but i have little doubt there will be good patches that come thru in the coming months and figured id be able to get into on ps5 over time. I hope its gonna work for us.Comment

Do you know the dev time? Just because it’s been two and a half since the last release doesn’t mean they’ve been in development that long. Bro every sign points to this being rushed. The numerous glitches and bugs. The pretty lazy roster. The release schedule to avoid next gen and fall titles.Comment

Re: Will we see UFC 4 on next gen?
I actually do. The last game came out in January 2018. In September 2018, GPD and I believe other devs posted that the patches were going to slow down because they started working on the next game. Even before September 2018, members of the dev team started working on ideas related to the game.Do you know the dev time? So that equals about 2 yrs of development.....which isnt a rush.
Now I'm not here to argue about whether they did the most that they could with that time or whether they focused on the right things.
2 yrs of total development (even though Covid definetly affected what they could do the last 6 mos or so) isnt a rushed product. Especially when most sports games have less than a year.Comment

Like you said, it really depends on what was done within those 2 years. Unlike other sports, MMA isn't seasonal and some of the best fighters take several months between fights.I actually do. The optics of a 48 hr beta and 10 hr EA access bring about the "rushed project" conversations, especially when its not like the sport has hard dates to abide by. It is pretty silly that a game that doesn't have to follow seasons won't have a ps5 version.Comment

I can see that. Also I think that short marketing window (EA's choice) led to the feeling that it was rushed.Like you said, it really depends on what was done within those 2 years. Unlike other sports, MMA isn't seasonal and some of the best fighters take several months between fights.

Re: Will we see UFC 4 on next gen?
I don't even think I would buy "UFC 4 Remastered" on PS5 ... UNLESS it was crossplay which is highly unlikely
I *AM* hoping they are secretly creating a new FIGHT NIGHT that will release next gen Summer 2021

I'll correct your statement:
How did they manage to take more things I LIKE/WANT out than put in in 2 years?
I'm not here to defend EA so I'm not answering either question.Comment
