No details yet on that point. Really hoping it is a stand-alone product, as this would be a PERFECT fit on the Switch.

They just did this a few years ago! It way only "Play Now" which I'm sure this will be also so nothing new to see here. What a feeble attempt to get pre orders!

I like this, always enjoyed NHL 94 way back when.  It's funny how NHL 14 had an NHL 94 mode since it was its 20 year anniversary.  They could've left it in the game for future versions but took  it out.   They left the controller layout option in.  Now NHL 94 is back and a new reason to preorder.

Did ‘94 have out of town highlights like ‘95. I loved watching the updates during playoff mode. I remember setting up Canadian teams in one conference then US in the other. I’d draw lots out of a cups with folded pieces of paper. Those were the days lmao

This, I think it was NHL 18 that had the NHL 94 mode.

I think it was NHL 14. And the mode was terrible. NHL 94 coloring with NHL 14 graphics and controls

There’s nothing stopping you from doing that…

Or playing any of the other versions with rosters from basically every year since then.

All these are better choices than what EA will do here I’m sure
