First time career mode player. Quick question on hiring a scout: Once you sign a scout is it just for 1 year or are they in your employ for the entire duration of your career with the club?

They aren't on any type of contract. Once you hire them they are on your staff unless you decide to fire them.

And this applies to both youth scouts and the global transfer network scouts, in case you were asking about one of those specifically.

Just to piggy back the title...

When you ask GTN scouts to find 'promising' players, what determines the potential of the players it returns?

Is it team overall rating?
Average rating in the position?
Team potential rating?
