The servers being down doesn’t make the strongest case for people thinking about buying it.

I played some my career and about 4 play now matches with real guys - played the demo earlier and this has me convinced the game is broken.  I hope they don't re-boot a fight night using this engine and UFC 5 with the same DNA is a pass without even trying it.   I'm a striker-focused guy and there's too many points to bring up in this post but it just isn't right from the animations to frame-rate to flow.  The dreams game I'm working on is smoother and flows better and I'm just one dude.  I don't know what it is about EA, it's just never been right since NHL '94 era and madden's of that ilk.  Whatever assets they have heavily invested in company-wide just kill it for me, there is a trend across all their titles even with totally different dev studios and locations it's crazy.  Nothing against individual developers as Im' sure they do their best - the direction from the top is just totally off.
