When do 2020 NBA draft players get added to the game?

Did 2K give a timeline on when they will have a roster update with all the 2020 NBA prospects on each team for next-gen? Holding off on starting my league until this drops and free agency settles. Thanks!

They cannot give a deadline. They are only allowed to include any player that was under contract in the NBA in the last x years OR that has a direct contract with 2k about being included. Meaning as soon as a player signs the rookie contract with his team, he can be included. This usually takes some days/weeks after the draft, even for first round picks.

I'm guessing Sometime in December. The season starts on 22nd they should have a better shape of rosters by then.

20 - When Will Rookies and Free Agents Be Added?

The NBA Draft is supposed to be later this month with free agency running shortly afterward. The 2020-21 season will begin on December 22. The rookies and free agents will be added sometime before December 2, barring a delay.

Shams said yesterday that players must report to their teams by 11/30 to begin COVID testing. Hopefully, that will speed their signings up but obviously, there could be some holdups. I'm hoping that we see all of them around the first week of December.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if 2K waits close to a week after the season starts.

According to 2K's twitter, they'll be releasing rookie ratings during the draft.
