Your Favorite David Fincher Film?
 

Probably my 2nd favorite director, so many unforgettable films throughout the years. But which film of his is your favorite?

Se7en for me. I still get goosebumps thinking about it. Obviously fight club and I love Social Network but my favorite thing he’s done besides Se7en is Mindhunter. One of my favorite shows and hopefully he gets to finish it.

I would personally rank them:

1. Se7en
2. Zodiac
3. Fight Club
4. The Social Network
5. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
6. The Game
7. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
8. Gone Girl
9. Panic Room
10. Alien 3

There really isn't any separation between Se7en and Zodiac, they are 1A and 1B for me.

PS: Needless to say I'm really looking forward to his latest film, Mank, which will start streaming on Netflix in early December.

If I had to rank Mindhunter I would place it in 4th, just behind Fight Club.

The Girl With The Golden Tattoo over Se7ven. I still can’t remember if I watched the series of subtitled foreign films before Fincher’s version but I loved all of them including the Lisbeth Salander character.

This is really weird, because lately I've been rewatching a few of his films: Zodiac, The Game, and The Social Network. In short time I plan on re-watching several of the others. I have to pick up Panic Room at some point, though it's not my favorite of his. I haven't seen Alien 3.

As far as favorite, I'll probably have to go with Se7en. I may like The Social Network a hair more as a movie, but that has as much to do with the writing, score, and acting as it does the directing. Se7en has those things going for it as well, but it's a different tangible level for me.

What a great track record this man has, though.

I would rank Mank in about 9th place.
