Hey Guys!!! Welcome to my NBA 2k21 MyNBA and Gameplay Sliders Thread.


This seems to be an issue every year so I will get it out of the way right now, these sliders are designed to be played on BROADCAST CAMERA. 2k cam is way to easy. you will not find the challenge or good experience you are looking for if you play with these on 2k cam.

What is up everyone!! I am so excited about 2k21 Next Gen!! the gameplay is so refreshing!! MyNBA, its unreal!! mixing mygm and myleague was absolutely genius, and it was very well implemented!!

Luckily, Much of my work from current gen 2k21 does translate over to next gen for both gameplay and the franchise sliders. That being said, there are still lots of changes for both.

First, lets talk about Game play sliders.

For me, these are always the easiest to create, and with using my current gen sliders as a base, its been easier to identify areas of need and address them. However, I am still not ready to release what I call my "Official" set. I really hate posting a set only to make changes and updates constantly within the days and weeks afterwards. This is where I seek out you lovely folks. I am looking to get my sliders tested in more hands, to gather more feedback, to fine tune before I post them.

If you are on PS5, you can find my test sliders uploaded. Download them and pair them with game speed of 52.

Now, the brand new MyNBA. There is so much that translates over from current gen, but also so much new stuff! I love it. I have already fixed some issues with contracts, cpu resign aggressiveness, and a few other things. The issue where I could def use some help, (if you guys want these finished sooner than later ) would be within the player progression and regression. After 2 seasons, there are still over 110 players in the league rated 80 or better. Thats at least 30 too many.

Right now, I am looking for any assistance running test sims of 2 years (it goes so much faster this year) in an attempt to hit the target goal of keeping around 80 players rated in the 80s. I have my current set up uploaded if you are on Ps5. If you have a chance to help me out be testing different levels of progression and regression and post your findings here. It could help and go a long way towards getting these finished and ready in time for the start of the season.

Do you think that's missing some adjustments that you would get from say superstar? I believe on Da Czar's latest video about the update, he said that superstar is where the AI defense will adjust through all 5 stages (whatever that means). But it doesn't do that on Pro and Allstar. And please correct me if I got that wrong but I believe that's what he said.

I have no idea about that honestly. I see adjustments, i see changes. I've always started my sliders based on pro but people have said they play at a harder difficulty, somewhere between superstar and HOF.

I will tell you, that I will make sure the cpu is a worthy opponent before i upload anything.

Do you think that's missing some adjustments that you would get from say superstar? I won't be posting test sliders as it's alot of content for something that's not complete that could see me make several changes, reverting, etc in the span of a few hours while testing.


However as soon as i finish up confirming a few areas (shot success) shot tendencies, and a few defense adjustments, these will be completed. [emoji3526][emoji3526]

I just lost 2 games in a row with your sliders. I know you will make the CPU worthy. I just don't want to lose any of the adjustments that might happen at some difficulties. I'm not the best player either.

I'm getting close on the progression and regression sliders. However. The true problem lies in the base roster with 94 players rated in the 80s. This is 30 more than just 2 years ago and it floods the talent pool, makes building a team too easy, causes cap issues because of contract amounts, and leaves too many highly rated players unsigned because nobody can afford them.

The only true fix for this will be to use a custom roster where 2 things are addressed.

1. The inflated ratings which can mostly be fixed by lowering the intangible rating.

2. Lowering players potential rating significantly... This will keep everyone from hitting their peak potential which is 80 or 81 for so many players if those were dropped into the 70s. Our balance would be back!!

I've never understood why ratings are always inflated. You have 0-100 and the majority of guys are high 70s and 80+... I feel like older games only had the most elite players in the 90s, all-stars in the 80s, and role players in the 70s, with weaker starters, bench and reserves often in the 50s and 60s (sometimes even 40s).

I agree!! I decided to test how the ratings look with with the intangible rating at 25 for every player.

For those that don't know, mr stauffer inputs players ratings how he views them. If their rating is lower than he likes, he raises their intangible rating. This slider does absolutely nothing but increase a players ovr. This is you have some rookies with an 80 intangible rating but b some superstars have it at like 30.


With this rating dropped to 25 for all players, the inflation has been completely eliminated. Almost a little too much... Some guys who should be in the 90s aren't (like luka) and ja morant is only an 81 and so on.


However, those small things can honestly be adjusted to make sense and we could continue on.


I'm seriously thinking I'll make a roster for everyone with the intangible rating at 25 for everyone..

I'll also lower do a mass potential decrease for all players... Not sure how much... Maybe 5 or 10 points.

Played a couple games with your set. The flow feels really really good! Might be a tad too easy to hit contested threes, and I’m getting a ton of offensive rebounds with Jarrett Allen. But only two games so little sample

Is it me or is the Normalize sim to played minutes not working?

Playing on 10 minute quarters but the minutes don’t seem to be adjusting to 12 minutes. It’s messing with advanced stats a lot.
