    Madden PS5 won’t load

    I’ve downloaded the next gen Madden on PS5, but it will not load. I keep getting stuck on the initial load up when the bar says “Showtime.” Looking online this has been a problem since the previous gen launch this year. I’ve restarted my console, deleted and redownloaded the game, and everything in between to no avail. Have the devs addressed this issue at all? Any suggestions?

      Are you doing it through EA Play, disc, or digital? I know EA Play has had issues with being able to play the game

          EA Play. Trying to use my trial since it normally enters the vault after the Super Bowl.

              Sorry to tell you ea play trials are a mess. Madden 21 trial hasn't worked for months now. It's a bummer. I have madden 21 on pc but tried the ps4 ea play trial and it wouldn't load. I have ps5 madden full version now so never tried the trial on this platform.

                  Yeah the EA Play trial is jacked and won't let you play. Not really sure as to the reason why but it's been that way since next gen launched.

                      As an EA Play subscriber, the only way I could get Madden 21 PS5 to work was to log in with my wife's PSN account and launch the game from there. She isn't a sub, and the game works fine. Can't (or won't) start a season as she doesn't have an EA account and I'm not doing that to her. But I can play exhibition games at least.

                      On Twitter I spoke with another player having the same issue and his Madden magically worked the day after his EA Play sub expired.

                      Needless to say I will not be re-subscribing to EA Play when mine expires. Sadly that's not until June.
