Been almost 2 months since last patch. Hopefully this means they fixed/improved a lot

It's no secret there's a lot of issues with 2k21 on next Gen. Most of the community has shared the same opinion on several topics that need improvements. It's been nearly 2 months since the last patch.....

It'd be embarrassing for 2K if they took so long between patches and they give some half assed patch where the only thing they fixed was hairstyles and some useless myteam garbage.

Not to be dramatic but, this patch will make or break the game for a lot of people who are already close to abandoning this years product.

    Patch hopefully is coming soon..

Lol no chance. This game has been a complete flop and IMO, one of the worst they have ever released. The only mode that has slightly improved is PNO. They used next gen as a platform to promote a completely fake, unrealistic, arcadey version of basketball. This game stinks. People should be able to get refunds for this abomination of a game.

Wait what lol? How did PNO improve? It’s a literal copy/paste from the last 3 games lol.

Next gen? It improved slightly IMO. Off ball D gets punished more much than previous years...that’s enough for me to give it a little improvement. Rest of the game is pure trash.

Gameplay wise, explicitly in rec/pro-am, if they just patch the moving/fadeaway shots, the unrealistic amount of poster dunks and some of the sloppy unresponsive movements on the court, then I'd be satisfied.

The last one is embarrassing that I even have to bring it up. Because The devs (we know who I am speaking about) literally did this big piece about how movement is some amazing and dramatically improved on next gen. Literally. They had the article on this website lmao. Among other places of course. But yeah.... they made this huge deal about movement being so advanced and realistic when there's literally zero difference between old gen and next gen. Not even exaggerating. None. No difference. Choppy, unresponsive, unrealistic.

I'll stop myself here because I can go on for hours about the movement in this game...............

I was just wondering this. Where is the next patch lol. I keep seeing Madden get patches and then try to remember the last 2k patch. I dont agree with the previous poster about its a abomination of a game but it definitely need some huge fixes.

I haven't touched it in weeks because of horrible defense and Mynba bugs. Particularly draft classes that has so many players with 99 dunk, stamina, speed and verticle. Attribute progession sliders dont work. Never any effort in draft classes. What happen to the devs that cared about myleague 5 years ago. I'm glad alot of you enjoy ng 2k but for me I can't touch it in its current state.

Online League heads and mynba online mode desperately need the custom draft class upload feature to work in the next patch. This is literally life and death for being able to have a multi season online association with with draft classes. Please 2k, for the life of god, include this in the next patch.

Some of you just need to decide to move on. There are enough complaint threads, and I'm pretty sure Twitter is always complaining.

I joined an online league for the first time in my life. I've never really played much more than a couple games online before either.

I'm having a blast simply because of it being with real people. Trading with other humans is fun.

Gameplay though, I dont know how some of you guys like it online head to head. I've come to terms with it and can enjoy it for what it is but I havent had a game yet that even remotely comes close to real basketball. lol Its an on ball defence league and everyone has a superstar that runs up and down the floor on turbo or iso for easy scores cause the balance between O and D pace is so borked. To be fair I had no choice but to do it too in order to compete haha.

Offline with sliders though I'm enjoying the game more than any 2k I've played.

I also disagree that the player movement is the same as last gen. It isnt.

I have on PC and on PS5 and it's not even close. I will clarify though that I'm saying it's different but not necessarily better. In some ways it is like foot planting and there is less emphasis on animation driven gameplay but pace is alllll #$@*$ up and there are still unresponsive moments, delays and wonkiness. Do a cross over then hit the pass button and the delay between the button press and the actual pass has caused me more than enough turnovers.

Back to the point though. I honestly am not even a little bit confident there is going to be a patch at all let alone the significance of the content. The silence is straight up weird from a company that used to be one of the best at communication.

I mostly play Play Now Online, and I don't think it's too bad personally. Not to sound like a broken record if you read any of my previous comments, but I know that I was struggling real bad with the shooting until I found something that works for me. Beyond that, I wish that the OTF UI was like current gen, and they're still some gameplay mechanics that people do try to exploit. However, let's keep it 100%. Cheesers will cheese. It's been like that since I've started playing online with NBA 2K4. After that...it's definitely not the worse or best NBA 2K that I have played. I have avoided playing REC due to new MyPlayer Builder, but I and many others had predicted what was going to happen BEFORE the game even dropped. In reality, it's really not a great shocker that the Park and REC are the way they are now.

I am kinda surprised that it feels like that they "gave up" on this game so soon. I forgot how many patches we got this year, but I thought we normally get quite a few before they move on to the next iteration. No biggie...the game is playable to me, but I'm not big into sim stats and "perfect basketball representation" either.

I'm still in that learning curve zone too so I'm sure it will click more and maybe the cheesiness will become less once I'm better at defence and switching.

Curious about your shooting find that helped you? I shoot amazing offline but online is real rough.

Surprisedly enough, RealFG% actually carries over to PNO. Plus, I use the button on jumpshots and the stick on layups/dunks. I'm not doing anything super fancy. Before, I used the stick 99% of the time.
