I started this thread because I want to discuss playbooks, default playbooks, or custom, based on the West Coast offense. In this thread, I would like to talk about plays, formations, player archetypes, run/pass sliders, and aggressive/conservative sliders. CPU No Huddle style can also be mentioned if you want. You can also have a spread playbook, air raid playbook, Spread option playbook, or a pro-style playbook as long as they are based on the West Coast Offense.

I’ve been trying to find a Lincoln Riley playbook forever now. Like an Air Raid hybrid with a power run game. You got any suggestions on what formations and plays would be good? -
Re: Ncaa 14 West Coast Offense Thread
I study these playbooks and how they relate to real life. Tulane and Syracuse are West Coast books. Oklahoma state and WVU are run oriented Air Raid with more down hill running with pistol sets.Comment

Re: Ncaa 14 West Coast Offense Thread
I've attempted to create a West coast playbook, but I don't if I have pictures yet so I might need to do that I can show it.
I have tried to find ways to make a mike holmgren west coast playbook but I don't know where to start. I thought he would have more vertical plays than walsh did because he had Brett Favre, who was a big armed qb. Can someone show the plays/ formations for a mike holmgren playbook or is there a default/team playbook that matches this?Comment

Re: Ncaa 14 West Coast Offense Thread
For the run game you’ll want counters and counter options. He uses mostly 4 WR sets unless he has a good vertical threat TE. Lots of motion
Pass game I imagine there will be PA screens and quick hitters along with deep seam routes post routes. It’ll be missing the RPOs unfortunately but those are the kinds of plays and personnel you’ll be looking forComment

Re: Ncaa 14 West Coast Offense Thread
I use a custom offense with carefully researched plays from mostly the pistol formation. I tend to use running plays which overload one side of the line and send a blocker in motion.
Passing plays I use a combination of underneath crossing routes and power O play action with the tight end as primary receiver - and I recruit fast tight ends who can get open.
All in coach mode.
I haven't played Madden in many years so if the new college game will be designed similar to Madden I'll probably have to figure out the AI and adjust.≡Comment

Re: Ncaa 14 West Coast Offense Thread
here is my West Coast offense Playbook. I've been trying to incorporate typical West coast offense passing plays from the Bill Walsh style with zone runs while also trying to incorporate vertical passing plays because I have a qb that is not only accurate but also smart and has a strong arm and I want to maximize his overall abilities. Can someone help me? Here is Part 1:Comment

Re: Ncaa 14 West Coast Offense Thread
I'm sorry but I decided to take a break from taking photos and putting them on the message as it takes too much time. That being said, here are the formations that I have on my playbook:
Ace Big
Ace Big Flip
Ace Big Twins
Ace Bunch
Ace Slot
Ace Twin TE Flex
Ace Y-Trips
Goal Line Normal
I-Form Close Twins
I-Form Normal
I-Form Tackle Over
I-Form Twins
Shotgun Normal HB Wk
Shotgun Normal Y-Flex
Shotgun Split
Shotgun Trio HB Wk
Shotgun Y-Trips
Strong I Normal
Strong I Tight
Strong I Twins Over
Weak I Close Twins
Weak I Normal
Weak I Twin TE
Weak I Twins
Could someone help me with play suggestions? I'm trying to incorporate all the typical West Coast passing Plays with zone runs, but I'm trying to incorporate more deep passing to take advantage of my QB's strong arm. The thing that gets me is the play limit as I tend to incorporate more than I should sometimes but for this playbook, I have at least 20 total plays in each formation. If you want me to I can continue putting pictures on messages, but I will need to do them when it's not late.Comment
