Madden 21 ps5 depth chart issue
 
I'm in an offline cfm as the browns and for weeks now the team wr on the field don't match my depth chart. I have :
1.obj
2.landry
3.higgins
4.hodge
5.peoples jones
6.taylor

Yet higgins is never on the field and no matter what formation taylor is the 3 wr. He's my lowest rated receiver too. I actually moved him off the depth chart in the gray area and he still is in the game.

I am using default rosters and at one point higgins was hurt for a few games. Any ideas how to fix this? I'm about to start the playoffs and want my depth chart right.

Go look at your slot receiver. I'll bet it's Taylor.
Higgins is the #3 receiver, but if you have Taylor as your slot receiver then Taylor comes in. Higgins would only come in if something happened to Landy or OBJ.

I'm doing a Browns cfm also on ps5. Taylor is there by default. So as said below, I moved Landry there, and that makes Higgins come in, in a 3wr play. Landy moves to the slot and Higgins goes to #2

Exactly what he just said. Taylor is probably a higher rated slot receiver and by default madden puts him there so I’d move Landry to the slot so Higgins will automatically become receiver # 2

OK. So this "was" the issue but when I when I found Taylor at the slot, the only other 2 people I could swap him with were Hodge and Njoku? There are only 3 options in that position. Am I missing something? I noticed that in all the specialized positions that there are only 3 to choose from. Is this normal? I re-arranged my depth chart 3-4 times and the players available for the Sot WR never changed. Eventually I outright released Taylor to free agency and finally Higgins was available as a slot receiver.

So...is this feature messed up or do I not understand how to adjust it properly? I've only ever really tweaked the 3rd Down RB and Kick/Punter returner and the guy I wanted was already in the "3 man" list.

Did you go to the actual depth chart or are you trying to use the adjust lineup depth chart?

If you’re doing the latter than go to the regular depth chart and move him to the slot

Seriously I have gone to the depth chart where it just shows receivers and I do not see an option to set a "slot" receiver at all. This looks like the regular roster layout. Then when I go to other I see the different special positions like 3drb, pwrb, Longsnapper etc. This is where I only have 3 predetermined players in the slot position. Am I missing something?

I was able to play the game with Higgins now being in the slot most of the time but I did have to release Taylor to free agency to accomplish this. Thanks again.

In the specialist side, it is the SLWR.
#3 in the WR slot is if 1 or 2 gets injured or 1 or 2 is your slot receiver, #3 takes his place.

Same goes for cornerbacks.

But how do you choose your slot wide receiver in specialist when the guy you want isn't one of the three it is allowing you to choose from? That's the issue. Thanks.
