I was going to get this game no matter what but putting some all time goats in the game. Hype train just keeps picking up steam.

Floyd Patterson is 5th and Frazier is already in the game.

6th is probably Giacobbe 🐂💨💨.

I could be wrong but announcing a boxer that has already been announced last year like it's new information to get people hyped for a game, sounds like something EA would do. Actually it is something EA would do.

LOVE the addition of Jack Johnson and Jack Dempsey.
I'd love to see them add Sam Langford , John L Sullivan and Stanley Ketchel as well.
Even more, I'd like for them add some of these fighters rivals (ie Billy Papke - who's fighting attire alone might cause this game to have an ESRB rating of Mature, lol)

Very appreciative of this news, Boxing is really a great venue for a video game.
Never did get a chance to play any of the Fight Nights- but will definitely be purchasing this game-if not only for the “fighter creator”...

I'm absolutely thrilled to get Joe Louis, can't wait to patiently stalk opponents around the ring with the Brown Bomber, detonating vicious combinations when in range.

I really hope that there are distinctive fighting styles and noticeable skills between them.
Fighting Sweat Pea should be infinitely different from fighting JCC.
That's something FN didn't do very well. I'm praying eSBC does this well.

In my opinion,as a starter,
They didn’t need big names or legends
Secure all of the small names and let them bring attention to the game amongst the communities and fandom and let the big names and video games take notice..then they will
Come
“If i build it they will come “
Plus it would be a better look,to have the first game as a test to how the public take on to the gameplay
And then the next game have all the fixes and the bigger names on board

This may not be a yearly new title type game. It may be a game where they just continue to build and add boxers in "seasons."

This is great. I really hope to have Larry Holmes. He was the Heavy Weight I grew up watching (as well as seeing Tyson).

Other I hope to see are:

Marvin Hagler
Thomas Hearns
Suger Ray Lenard
Mike Tyson
Joe Frazier
Ali


It will be interesting to see how many more.

But also will there be the ability to create and share CABS like on Fight Night? If so then it will be off the hook!!

So pumped for a new boxing game. It was sorely missed on the PS4. I still play FN4 to this day on my PS3.

I play Fight Night Champions on my xBox One as it supports it. Really enjoy this game and those fighters you mentioned above. I run single elimination tournaments with >90 or so Heavyweights and also one with >80 or so Non-Heavyweights ...... have run a few tournaments like this thus far --- Ali has yet to win one of them but normally gets very deep ....... I also keep each fighters records from each of these fights ....... Really enjoyable ! I have also created a few fighters from my youth that were from New Orleans .... one was a real friend of mine named Tony Licata ! Others I created were Jerry Peligrini, Percy Pugh & a couple others.

Exactly what I do on FN4!!!! I run big tourneys for the heavyweight and middleweight divisions, keep stats and records etc.

I also pull out Title Bout from time to time (Avalon Hill’s legendary table top boxing game). I have hundreds and hundreds of fighters in that game. Incredible boxing simulation game. Love it.
