The “thank you” is a generic goodwill gesture for their server issues. Makes sense that the freebies would be aimed at the mode most effected by those issues.

I wish you luck with this new “snarky forum guy” character you’re apparently trying out, but when you use it, it should at least make sense.

In past years, I would have been grateful for a freebie. No, it’s not something they have to do.

But I’m admittedly extremely unhappy, and very negative, about the direction SDS has taken the game.

I’m so sick of franchise receiving the shaft. I’m sick of outdated or completely inaccurate rosters. I’m tired of legacy bugs that always affect franchise more than anything. I’m sick of realizing more and more every year that franchise isn’t coming back.

So, yes, I fully deserve the “mocking” for negativity. I’m not shying from it. In light of all of my frustration about the laziness of many aspects of this game, I’m very cynical that this freebie was really in good faith - seems much more like a ploy to get some serotonin out there for DD, get people more immersed in that mode, and reap the extra money they’ll get on the backend for that generosity.

Fair view of my comments. I won’t deny my negative perspective on it. That’s fair. I’m just extremely cynical this is a goodwill offering. I think it’s bait and hook move.
