Super sim defense

Does it matter how good my defense is on paper when super simming? I have been doing a franchise playing offense only and super simming defense and I am hemorrhaging points. Bottom line, does super sim take into account player ratings or is it just a random play generator? Thanks guys for any input you can give

In my experience super sim defense is like the rubberband AI from old school racing games. If you score more on offense, your defense will give up more points. Same thing happens in QB1. Doesn't really matter what your ratings are.

Well I have been scorched in most of the games I have played. Didn’t seem to matter if I was scoring or not. Only one game this season did I hold opponent to under 20 points and I dominated time of possession

Didn't someone confirm that the designated clock run off is not accounted for in super sim? I ask because it seems that even if the cpu has a long drive, it doesn't take much time off the clock.
