For my online H2H guys for madden 22 info!
Ok fellas been a while since I posted anything on this forum, I’m in the beta and have been having a blast playing online H2H for various reasons as a SIM player!
Defending the meta from madden 21 seems very defendable now without moving heaven and earth to do it as defenders play there assignments better than before. Given that this is a beta and some things aren’t working it’s still a good indicator in the direction the game is going! I’m quite sure there’s still some cheesy type stuff in the game that most often then dudes are gonna keep to themselves hoping it passes by undetected but that’s expected Honestly competitively online I feel it’s more open and has that any given Sunday feel! My real excitement tho is for online franchise mode hoping that NCAA gets incorporated when it releases but that’s another story! Anyways, running feels smooth and passing doesn’t seem to be overpowered as years past. A 1on1 situation feels just like that. An issue I’m seeing is that sprint is still connected to defenders spider senses and I’ve never been a fan of that, once you hit the gas and no ones around then ratings should kick in from there especially when the defender making the play shouldn’t have been aware nor that fast to break off a block and pursue you! You miss a tackle and no one else is around… Issa wrap!!! Hitsticking feels kinda weak, not sure what’s up with that but I’m glad it’s not like you’re getting hit by a Mack truck from some nobody safety or corner! Fumbles are a mixed bag to me as it still seems that linemen’s who’s backs are turned seem more aware than those that are after the ball and/or caused the fumble itself Throwing under pressure needs work but for the most part it yields almost life like results QBs running to the sideline east and west are taking more of a risk as contain does it’s job somewhat better than previous maddens and QBs aren’t as accurate with their passes on the run like that full sprint and throwing across their shoulder! So far I’ve played around 10 games online trying out different runs, passes, rpo’s and screens! I can say depending on how good you can read a defense you can make these work and when they work it works! Ran into quite a few cheesers and dispatched them with ease as they quit once you caught on to there scheme of trips crossers until it gets picked off! Start using the games passing mechanics as they really come in handy this version and I feel they have made a dramatic difference in my gameplay. I play a balanced offense and once I key in on a weakness I just keep at it but not in a cheeser way as fatigue is working to where they pull your players thst get tired out for a few plays or maybe even a series. So I dunno if that’s a bug or not but once mostert got tired the rotation started as I felt he wasn’t in the game so you have to be prepared for that as every running back is not the same. I still feel QBs still need their true identity to who they are in real life. Like Brady has never been a scrambler and still shouldn’t be as he is slow as molasses but previous madden had him at a decent speed where sometimes he would outrun the coverage at times. I’m excited for this iteration but I’m keeping my expectations in check as we all know once the youtbers come out then online play is ruined so that’s why I’m really excited for online sim franchises this year! Right now madden online head to head 7/10 |
Re: For my online H2H guys for madden 22 info!
I only play online h2h, rather than mut or franchise like many others. Last year the most frustrating thing for me was that I couldn't make depth chart changes and use them the next time I played. In the past you could save your depth chart and it would be good until the next roster update. Rather than adjusting it once a week I'd have to every time I turned the game on and in turn I played much less. Thing wasn't a big deal for most as I didn't hear much complaining about it, but has there been any word on if this was addressed?

Ok, My only question for you is, which system are you playing on? When I made the jump to Madden 21 on Series X, the gameplay was very different from Xbox One X. So if you could please answer, that would be great. I too play alot of Online H2H. |

The AI actually reacts better but this is still a wait and see for when the game actually launches. Crossing routes are covered better even without making those zone adjustments. The only downside I read about was the factors that turned up the authenticity, the crying tourney players got their wish for it not to be in competitive modes which is crazy to me as these “dynamic changes” add to the immersion and fun of the game as I feel it would force people to mix up their play calling and thus eliminating “money cheese” plays more than it ever has! I’ve played some people who tried the Meta of the past games to little or no success. But like I said before the jury is still out on that til release! |

Now that early access is out, does anyone know if online h2h roster changes are saved or do they erase like last year once you turn the system off?

There was like a 10 page thread about this on the EA forums and they refused to fix it. Infuriating if we have to deal with it again... |

The Cowboys jerseys still clash with the other team unless you select random for both home and away
