I'm sure you all have analytics that tell you what you need to know, but anecdotally speaking I practically never watch these videos. I personally wish OS would go back to writing articles. I assume this is OS's way of trying to broaden their audience so to speak, but this is a message board, an outdated social media piece where us weirdos come to read and type. Give us some articles to read, not videos to watch. There are numerous other YouTubers who I can go to to find a video on Madden if I wanted to. I come to OS to read the articles you all put out and interact with the community.

Thanks for saying this. Exactly how I've been feeling. I'm usually on operationsports while working and they have a ban on streaming videos. That plus I'd much rather spend 10 minutes reading an article compared to dedicated 45 minutes to watch the video.

Probably for the best since we do still write many articles haha. I mean we posted everything relating to this last week, we just also put out a video as well to cover bases all around and try to shrink down the info since some like reading and some like watching.

Fear not, we have not shunned words for just videos -- and we won't ever.

Speaking about entertainment products like games, IMO an article can give the facts and reasoned opinions and speculation and be great. I feel like with videos there is at least a partial need to attempt to be "interesting" which can get in the way of the material IMO.

I think it is. I’m not an EA guy but I’m not someone who thinks they’re evil lol. I think the guys who develop and create the game are finally given some freedom, the higher ups that control all decisions seen the backlash and I think guys like Swami and even Clint are able to do what they really want, and that is sim football. Business just makes that difficult sometimes.

I mean, I get it. You get ad revenue from YouTube videos. And many will watch them. But not us sad characters. For some of us it just takes too much effort to click and sit there watching. For others, it's too long. And others, we're at work and screwing off and can't let anyone find out.



But yeah, would prefer an article.

Yep, this appears to be the case. Good thing us "whiners" finally got organized and became united in our bitching. Now we just have to stay in a controlled bitch-mode: not so powerful that the devs get discouraged after all the hard work they put into franchise, but not so weak that the pressure is removed and no upgrades happen in the future.
