Really wish they would just release two games at this point. one for the people who like all this extra stuff, and another for those like me who just want a realistic franchise experience.

Yeah, I know, $$$$$$$$$$$$ makes the world go round. I'm in the minority.

Ugh, I just want to play online against other real people without first having to grind so much.

I'm with you. I have zero interest in the MyCareer and The City stuff and have even less interest in creating a MyCareer guy that becomes a rapper, lol. I think I'll skip this year's release and just keep playing 2K21 MyNBA mode with my custom old-school rosters.

I don't understand why they can't do this for the people who want to just play park and rec and then give us mycareer back...I have been questioning this for years...some really questionable design choices from Mike Wang.

It'd be nice if 2K "innovated" by making a basketball game....actually play like basketball

It's because of player engagement. Forcing people to grind before doing what they really want to do keeps the base engaged for longer times with the game even if it makes them miserable where they can bombard you with ads. They know that after investing all that time you will be more likely to pay for extra items and pay to win boosts.

WOW, who cares if the basketball is legit, I got myself a rap career start lmao. It will totally make me forget about the times my game hard resets my console for no apparent reason, but if will not stand for it if it corrupts my files on myplayer who is one of the all time great fashionistas.
I mean now I don't even have to be worried about constant exploits, them making one build superman so everyone uses the same one, every single player using the same couple of dribble moves and jump shots because they are so overpowered and everyone dunking on everyone all the time. Naw I'm not even worried about needing to spend extra money to buy boosts so I'm not at a competitive disadvantage. Actually maybe they will have boosts I can buy to help my rap game and get some help dropping fire lines. This year goona be hype.

But will those of us who have no desire to play against human opponents and only want to play NBA games with our player be punished by being locked out like last year?

I see a lot of whining over a game where we’ve been given a paltry amount of info so far. Some of y’all need a pacifier.

Since you are starting your own company. You'll be responsible for creating the shoe and marketing it as well as growing the brand itself. You'll design the commercials (obviously not very in depth just 3-4 already created commercials and you pick one). You can however have full control on how you design the billboards and posters.

You'll also hire a couple of people to help handle the business side of things maybe a MYGM type screen with a list of available candidates.

Rome wasn't built in a day so don't expect to earn a lot of VC just because you're your own boss or see your shoe brand to grow as big as Nike overnight. There should be a lot of moments of struggling and where you think you should have taken the shoe deal instead. I'd even say have the shoes blow out but that would be taking it a bit too far. The success of the brand would depend on your players popularity and how well you market the brand. Starting off your own brand you'd earn less VC than if you had a shoe deal with a company like Nike, Jordan, Adidas, Under Armour, but as you grow you'll earn more I'd say maybe max would be like 5-6k VC per check maybe 7k if you're really good at it.

You'd also be able to sign other players to the brand but since that brings another issue of real world contracts and ruining the image of the brand or whatever. I'd say just limit that to CPU generated Rookies and whoever is the 2k Created story character teammate like Shammy Wells or Justice Young. You could attempt to convince established NBA stars in text messages to sign with your brand but they'd just laugh you off and never say yes.

I posted that a year ago. If I could create my own shoe brand like Big Baller Brand that would be awesome. It's a very small thing though since it's a basketball game where the main objective should be basketball but it would be cool it should remain as a background feature and not the main thing.

They have the 2K shirt creator and shoe creator. Let us use it in MyCareer and fully take advantage of it.
