    User Defined Camera?

Will there be a Custom camera? People have been asking for this for years and EA has ignored our request.

Nothing new camera-wise in the beta. It would be nice if they at least gave us the freedom we have in FIFA to make height and angle adjustments to their default cameras. Something between the close angle and the medium angle would look great.

Why can't they add that and make everyone happy? Ea is clueless.

I would imagine the current gen. hardware can't handle such an advanced feature as allowing user camera adjustment.

Because other features are far more highly requested.

I was asking EA and the devs for this for years. Especially when other EA sports games had it like NHL. I gave up.

Same thing when asking for a cold weather without snow option in Play Now games. These are things that cannot be overly difficult to do but should be options we have. Are they huge issues? No of course not but it would be nice. It’s the little things that matter. Details matter.

                  Re: User Defined Camera?

I swear I am not making this up and covering for EA, but one thing about a freestyle camera for Madden during gameplay is the resource cost rendering 22 players on the field (eventually refs), the entire sidelines which consist of many players who are now fully rendered the same as on field, coaches, the crowd, etc.

Why can other games do it? Simply because resource management is easier when other sports don’t have the issue of as many renders (football is going to tax the heaviest) and then add worrying about the lighting having to work for each new angle possible.

It’s not that they are too lazy, if it was easy, we would already have it. When you start getting into custom angles, there’s a lot more room for instability. Hopefully we will eventually get there or Atleast similar to how NBA does it with allowing adjustment of the height and pan within a limit.

All I want is a playable Broadcast camera that zooms out during pass plays so that you can see your receivers downfield more. The game is so beautiful on Broadcast camera that it ain't even funny. I'll keep using the workaround until we get one. Can't go back to any other cam type after using that.

What is the “workaround”? Just curious

So when you get to the line of scrimmage, choose one of your skill position players(preferably an outside receiver) and then double click the left stick. When you do that the camera will zoom all the way out and then begin to zoom back in slowly. Once you snap the ball the camera will stay wherever it is at the time of the snap giving you a zoomed out view to be able to see the whole field.

Here is a video from OS showing how it's done and what it looks like...

I been asking them for years for assisted tackles. ASSISTED TACKLES. They put this in, but it never worked for years. It took them I don't know how long for them to figure it out. So asking them feels like you're preaching to the choir.
