Time for the Madden 22 edition of The Little Things!

To paraphrase the Madden NFL 21 Little Things OP - this thread is a tradition started over in The Show forums for the little POSITIVE things you notice or appreciate that add to the experience. There are plenty of outlets on this forum and elsewhere for impressions be they good or bad - this isn't one of those outlets. For examples check out last year's thread.

And for the bit I won't paraphrase, to make it as clear as possible:

Madden NFL 22 - The Little Things

I was playing the Packers Texans game and Jordan Love ran out of bounds, the camera man closest to him jumped out of the way and fell into the camera man that was next to him who was then laying on the ground which caused Jordan Love to stumble on the sidelines because he tripped on the 2nd camera mans leg as he was moving out of the way.

Don’t think I’ve seen anybody mention this, noticed it back in the beta. The walls lining the field behind the sidelines are solid now, as in the football bounces off of them when you throw a pass away, before it would magically disappear right through it. Also pretty sure players will not warp into them after td’s or when running out the back of the endzone after a pass, nice job of removing some immersion breaking issues that had been in the game forever.

They have player specific commentary now in play now live/franchise games when they show the draft class recap on screen. Heard them talking about Justin Fields and Teven Jenkins when I played as the Bears in play now live for this weeks game vs Miami.

Gameday momentum is just plain awesome. Played an exhibition me Bills vs (cpu) colts. Pretty stalemate game up until the 3rd quarter, tied at 7 and I failed to make a short third down. I said screw it went for a fake field goal, Trubisky walk in touchdown and ended up winning 27-7. Indy had no life the rest of the game. Big plays matter.

Haven’t had a chance to play it much other than the first half of the opening game.

Beautiful play as I was getting hit as TB12 ball fluttered out to the flat where it made it to Godwin. The cool part is the catch animation. It was more of a trap to body catch. I have played a lot of madden for 20+ years and have never seen an animation like it. I spent 10 minutes on f my trial just watching the replay.

The game is way more smooth and it all feels tighter.

The crowd atmosphere is significantly improved. The Jets chant has been re-recorded, Steelers 3rd down horn and they boo if the road QB tries to silence the crowd.

It has been redone, but I feel like the Jets chant still doesn’t sound right. I don’t get the vibe that it’s a stadium full of people chanting it, it sounds like about a 100 people or so.

Exactly, same w go pack go chant, sounds canned. If you are on the road on offense and the opposing team has full momentum the entire screen shakes which is cool, but the weird thing is if it’s say a 4th down and the game hangs in the balance the crowd noise and screen shake is great, the problem is if the home team say is on defense and gets a stop to win the game, the crowd should have a final super loud noise explosion and instead they go down to normal noise level. It’s very strange and kind of immersion breaking.

If you play defense from the "defensive perspective" camera like me, if you click the LS 3 times rapidly you get a zoomed "player locked" camera angle.

This USED to be the default view until a couple years ago when they went to a wider "player lock" camera angle.

I was thrilled to find this out. Maybe it was like this last year I dont know but i dont believe it was.

Yup. And the Broncos Incomplete chant is wrong again this year. I just wish they could get it right again.
