    Franchise AI drafting

I seem to remember this was working pretty well in the later patches on 21.

Not so in my brief experience of 22. (Cloud franchise)

First draft saw 5 QBs taken as the first 5 picks

Lions at 1. Fair. 80 rated vs Goff at 78 and 27 years old

Bears at 2. Sat behind 78 rated Fields

Jags at 3, to sit behind 83 rated Superstar Trevor Lawrence

Jets at 4 to sit behind 78 rated Zach Wilson

Eagles at 5, fair enough. Kap is starting

Panthers at 8. 75 rated vs Jamies Winston, also rated 75. Winston is the starter.

Of the six, three were probably OK, except one of those is not starting despite being equally rated

Looks like there is some work to do still!

What have other franchise players seen?

That's pretty crazy considering the draft logic update that was added to Madden mid-cycle last year.

Yeah, I’ve seen something similar in my test franchises. Detroit and Cleveland picked a QB two years in a row, while Bengals also picked a new QB in 2022.

In another franchise i saw the Jets pick a QB four years in a row. It’s not good.

Hopefully it hets a little tuning again. My issue really isn't the fact that some teams may take a QB in the top 5 when they have a young, capable or even good starter. My real issue is that when they do draft lile that, theres no real "competitive" angle on it. Like, instead of starting based on just overall straight from the gate, utilize the stats a little bit that are put up in pre season or something. Idk. Thats a huge ask, obviously, but do something to make it seem organic!

Or "we have two quarterbacks that have high potential and decent overall under x age" - okay, take that logic and work into it to create trade rumors and get these guys traded.

Matt Nagy must be coaching the Panthers in your franchise

It's not a huge ask. Madden in the ps2 Era had preseason position battles.
