Kicking Meter / aim gone?

I apologize if I missed another thread about this....but has anyone had the kicking meter either disappear or become so light on the screen that you can barely see it?

I was playing and suddenly lined up for an extra point and I was unable to aim my kick. I could still see the power meter but the arc/arrow that aims your kick was barely visible if at all on the screen....of course I needed to aim my kick to compensate for the wind and because I had no clue where it was going, I shanked the extra point. Thankfully I lost by more than one point

I though it might be part of home field advantage since I was on the road, but next game was at home and same thing....I can't see the arrow to properly aim my kick

I noticed a little bit & the when the cpu throws the ball the target is gone

As per timmg, there is a game condition that is something like "kicking arc greatly reduced" The arc is there, but barely visible.
I'm ok with it. Kicking is too easy as it is. Perhaps there should be a link to kicker awareness making it more visible.


Were these "game day conditions" there on release, or recently added? Not the momentum, where the home team has an extra benefit, but the game day condition that is permanent, and affects both teams equally.

It's a glitch. It was happening to me randomly, home or away, momentum or not. The kicking meter normally fades out after a few seconds, and for me it would fade out on my first kick and never return.

I had it completely disappear once during a game and pausing the game and going back into it returned the meter.

It’s not a glitch. Read some of the momentum swing things. One of them is that the kick arc is gone when the other team reaches certain momentum level.

It is a glitch. It would happen to me as the Bills, at home, with max momentum, on the XP after scoring a TD to go up 13-0.

It's definitely a glitch of some kind. I've been at home dominating with a max mo meter and it fades away. I've had it disappear at different times with different teams both home and away.

Good, stop cheating yourself by making it easy using the Stick.

Just use the button and stop left/right of Accuracy Zone to kick at different angles.

It’s truly a challenge and not for a casual player looking for game mechanic helps.

Happens sparingly to me. It also happened on M21. Best thing I found to do was wait a few seconds and not kick immediately and it would show up.

I recall reading about them in the pre-release Gridiron Notes, but I also don’t recall seeing them in the game until recently.

Maybe I wasn’t looking hard enough for them? Maybe EA had them turned off until the most recent title update for launch day stability reasons? Maybe they were always on but the UI element wasn’t showing up?
