Re: Your 5 best and worst in ESPN
Best-
1- Graphics, games fricken beutiful nuff said 2- control, all of the options you get on the feild 3- gameplay, more realistic but needs work 4- Presentation, nuff said 5- playbooks. Though buggy i can spend days refining a playbook with so many options for plays compare 270 to about 160 for madden Worst Franchise- Dear God what the hell were they doing with it this year. last years franchise had less bugs in it and was more polished. This is the only reason why i bought madden this year Quirky game issues- Janky DB play. Janky pursuit, kick returning, player movement, penalty bugs, etc you all know the issues Weekly Prep- was fun for first few franchises but after a while became a burden Player models- though beutifuly animated they could use alot more variety especially when compared to maddens. And even older versions of 2K had more variety in player models, also they need to add some more transitional animations for cuts and missed tackles etc. And pleas the RUNNING ANIMATIONS are but ugly Sound effects- come of a little exagerated. the WHOOOSH every time i throw the ball, even on little screen passes its just goofy the loud thud when ever someone hits the ground its NFL Blitzish |

Agreed with most but control???/ Offense is fine but the Defense is terrible...If the ball is in flight and you change your player either the computer will jump for you or your guy will do a circle....I tell you what..I love this game and am still playing it...If they fix the Defensive control then I think most people will love the game |
Re: Your 5 best and worst in ESPN
Best:
- graphics - sound - ESPN presentation - online leagues tied into a web page where you can view stats, etc - online games lag-free for the most part Worst: - DB AI - lob passes (would be ok IF DB's reacted differently and didn't give up every lob) - online cheesers (D line glitch, QB scrambling, lob to corner routes every play, etc) - not being able to save subs and audibles for online play - online seasons not having true NFL schedules and divisions |
Re: Your 5 best and worst in ESPN
Best:
-ONLINE LEAGUES!!! (everything about them) -it's a thinking man's game -the presentation (I wish I had an XBox) -variety of modes -massive variety of tackle animations + QB finally steps into his throws! Worst: -weekly prep (does more bad to your team than good) -DL glitch -OL pulling almost too soon (right before snap) -"..tearing a page out of War and Peace", "overcaffeinated oragami artist", etc. -Lambeau Field isn't updated :) |
Re: Your 5 best and worst in ESPN
Best:
1. Graphics 2. Presentation 3. Gameplay 4. There isn't an unstopable CPU comeback at the end of the game 5. With sliders you can make it very challenging Worst: 1. Can't change positions 2. Too many interceptions especially by DL 3. Kickers kick it out of the endzone on kickoffs 4. Ratings need adjusted for all players. 5. Not enough LB tackles. Luckily these were all fixed using Flyin Finn's editor These five haven't been. 1. Need better playbooks. Most teams play a one back offense but you rarely see it in this game. Alot of teams never use a fullback but they are almost always used in this game. There are too many jocker and jacks formations being used on 2nd and six. 2. It is difficult to make gains on screen plays or passes to the flats. 3. Need better DB and WR AI. The DB should cover the WR not just sit 5 yards off and the DB should bite on play fakes. 4. More realistic defensive playbooks. The Patriots play the DBs up on the receivers but they have alot of plays where they just play deep thirds. 5. Too many litlle glitches. They just need to polish things up more so than create something new. |
