The gameplay has changed defensively and i wont accept anymore lies that it hasnt

Driveby are much more frequent and paint defense is almost none existent. What ever it is...its not like day 1. I dont think im as pissed that things have changed, i think im more pissed that 2k denies it. TELL THE FREAKING TRUTH!!

To those that say the game has been out for a while and naturally people will find out how to run better offense. To that i say that i have also impoved defensively and the offense has a clear advantage. I contest shots with a high % of contest in the paint and it doesnt matter. Whats the point of getting a 70% (in red letters) contest, when the ball swishes everytime. So unrewarding. Its start to almost feel like 2k21 again!

Yeah i noticed every game I played today felt "easier" to score in paint. I even had a weird "blow by" animation I haven't seen since like 2k18. I know for sure the nerfed verticals and buffed shooting fouls. I went to contest a shot on the perimeter and my PGs toes wouldn't come off the ground. So I started hopping around and he literally had no vertical. Another good day 1 game nerfed for the cry babies

i thought the same Few days ago and created a Thread about it. it is mich easier for me to freely move around on offense and drive to the rim. especially layup attempts with low Contests are going in much more often and in General you get to the paint much easier.

on the other i have a much harder time keeping opponents in Front of me.

Just more of a sign that something has been nerfed defensively. I have a personal problem with most ppl using real play % on layups. Defense doenst matter much on those, unless its flat out blocked, especially if its a decent player. I see a high contest percentage, but it doesnt matter...especially when compared to day 1

What game mode are you referring to?

Because 5 v 5 real team the defense is not easier. I have yet to shoot over 50 percent in a game.
            Psn: Alabamarob
            Xbox: Alabama Rob

            Youtube: 2k Hawks

            Settings I play on.

            Difficulty: HOF
            Online or Offline player: Both
            In a MLO: Yes

I think we’re getting better at the game. And this is where sliders come into play.

Specifically 5v5 with real team, going against human opponents. Test this for you self...play good defense in the post, well enough to get a great contest via 2ks contest %, and you will find those shots go in consistently. Compare that to the first few day of 2k, and those were misses consistently. Now again, if you are going to change gameplay, dont lie to us and tell us you havent. This has nothing to do with guys getting better. Guys can get better at dribbles. Guys can get better at taking better shots. Guys can get better at making those better shots they are taking. But a 70 and up contest percentage in the paint should result in the same thing it resulted in day 1 of the game and it does not. Or else dont tell us you didnt change anything. Its triggering. 2k22 came in with talking about rewarding players that play well and the right way. That has gone by the wayside in the last week and i fear they arent going back.

Also guys can just wiggle there way back and forth toward the basket, when on day 1, good defense made THOSE GUYS pick up the ball, pass the ball, and play the right way. Again, im talking about player vs player, not vs the cpu. To be honest, going againt the cpu is the same as day 1, which is what player vs player should have remained.

Now i get it, block frequency or better yet, everyone being able to block the ball, needed adjusting. But the contest system WAS fine.

Re: The gameplay has changed defensively and i wont accept anymore lies that it hasnt

I noticed the same against the cpu. But the thing is my Ps5 is offline since 1.00.6.
So what’s going on? Am I getting better ? I don’t think so:

I lost the first couple of games I played with 15+ but they were very realistic .
Then I had a game where I won with +7. Again ,it was very realistic.

After that I played a game where the cpu had 14 dunks (most of them alley oops) played like crazy and beat me with +46. The game felt different and less realistic.

Exactly after , played as classic hornets vs classic warriors....I beat them with +41 (56% Fg) , i penetrated very easily, cpu had 13% 3pt and 32 fg%.. it seemed so easy it was like playing a different game. All 3 games after that were equal easy. Penetrating and shooting suddenly became a piece of cake..

All the games played on all-star with real player fg%. and my Ps5 offline.

I wonder if dynamic difficulty adjustment is not something only fifa does..

                      I don’t agree.
Played a game yesterday with the lakers, lost by 2 to the warriors( did a lot of stupid plays at the end *♂️)
I didn’t feel that cpu defense was making it easy, or play damn. Even with Lebron it’s not easy to get to rim.

If true, this is the main reason why I copied a build of the game before the big patch to an external HDD to be played offline should 2k nerf the defense or mess the game up in any way. I have the patched version on my SSD Expansion card so I can take it out...plug the external HDD in and play it offline.

Personally I dont think it has gotten 2k21 easy but something is different. I've noticed a good portion of the cpu wiggles back and forth moe like the old days.

Honestly 1 day we can get a real life roster/tendencies. I believe that's the culprit of a lot the issues I see with 2k.
