NHL22 Frame Rate (PS5)
 

Is it just me or is the frame rate terrible on PS5, at least offline. Very laggy moving up and down the ice, certainly nothing like 60fps. Never seen this before in a NHL game. Seems worse if you lower game speed to zero.

Needs a fix EA!

This happened years ago when they first went to PS4/Xbox One. It will get fixed but not sure when. Anything below default game speed makes it choppy.

What camera view? I play true broadcast on ps5 and I don't see even a little bit of framerate problems.

Try classic camera

I play on PS5 with game speed at 0 and the framerate has been fine

Using 'Ice' camera view.

Tried it, excellent! Thanks for the tip, massive improvement, almost smooth and certainly playable.

Classic isn't massively different from the 'Ice' view I've always used.

Seems EA haven't optimized all the camera views, did wonder why some people were seeing this issue and not others. Seems to depend on what camera you use.

On Series S it also happens but it seems more like micro-stuttering than frames drops.

Zone camera.
