Human Goalies Playing Worse Post Patch?

did they break the game? Already? Goalies Are Terrible! Short Side Goals! Pass Interceptions Is already Broke! Beware! makes matters worse the Goalie Save Animations almost none existent, am still getting beaten by floater along the ice. these are the worse animations I've seen, needs a patch desperately, pass the message along. I already Found several stat glitches and weird bugs with the goalie stick being completely white.

power plays almost none existent with 1 team getting 3 and one team not even getting powerplay.

what is up with puck pickups weird bug in it?

What difficulty? Played 2 games last night on AS after update and aside form lower AI passing, it played the same as before for me.

Me too. Not every game is going to play the same and that is a good thing.

whatever happened after the update, really messed with goalies and pass interceptions, like am getting sniped and stuff from really odd angles of the ice, these are really far angles and stuff.

The defense still has this weird pylon defense, they are not covering the guy in the slot and are not taking out the guy when he enters our zone, they are not aggressive enough, I have aggression: CPU: 100 / Human: 100, still not aggressive on checks.

I am on All-Star: Full Sim, with Presets: Medium and Difficulty set to Full Sim.

I played 5 games last night post patch and didn't see any of your complaints. I was thinking last night one of the things I'm really enjoying is that in 15 franchise games I've seen only one garbage goal that EA has been plagued with in the past.

The goalies feel fine to me. Played a game last night where I got 50 shots on goal. The team I was playing played horrible defense. I was still only able to put up 3 goals, and every single one of them I had to “earn”. Be careful of sample size. Some games they are bringing in the backup in the second period, and some games I can’t seem to muster even one goal. This is how it should be.

One caveat, I have noticed that once X factor is activated it becomes much easier to score wristers and snappers. But I think that was the desired effect

Played it today after the update and haven't noticed a difference.

AI CPU Goalie is Fine, its when Controlling AI Human Goalies aka User Goalie, when playing goalie is the problem, someone needs to do a tutorial on goalie mode man, I thought implementing NHL 21 goalie style to NHL 22, I sorten spots in the crease I got lit up pretty badly.

Do you think it's fair to start a thread insinuating that EA broke their game when your issue is that humans controlling the goalie sucks? Man that's rough.

ummmm yeah? Definitely fair considering even "manual" human goalies rely much more on the auto-animations and under-the-hood tuning of limb reactions tuning than their own positioning and skill...

Now, I don't have anything to compare it to as I'm not one to play human goalie much in this game as I play goalie IRL and this game makes a mockery of the position, but just based on the simple fact that pucks can literally go through your gear even if you move your goalie to what should be a "correct" position if physics actually were respected at all times in this game, then it's easy to see how a manual goalie complaining about goalie effectiveness is more than fair.

People might not agree, but the underlying argument on the fairness of manual goalies complaining about goalie effectiveness is objectively fair game.

Ok fair. But playing goal as a human was fine before the patch and now not? What your saying is fine but that's not all what I'm getting the point of this thread was. It doesn't even say anything about human control till his post 5 posts down.

As far as I'm aware goalie control has sucked forever. Not at all what I see as the point of this thread.

so game is built to play against AI Human CPU Goalie, I will accept that.

No one plays it because it's just not possible to succeed. Period. I am sure someone try it once, gets lit up 8 goals and never tries it again.
