    No hitter

I just experienced for the first time, a no hitter but from the opposing team. In my franchise as I battle for first in the AL east, the Washington Nationals who are also battling for NLE divisional lead got a no hitter with John Lester. The game was tied going into the 9th so I wasn’t able to see the no hitter celebration because they ended up getting a walkoff homerun in the bottom of the 9th.

Has anyone else had a no hitter against them?

That’s funny. No but I’ve been close to being no hit. I recently had a game where I was being no hit into the 8th but got a bloop single to break it. I ended up winning that game.

Lucky you… I was thinking to myself, there’s no way I’m not going to get a hit. Then the crowd started to sense the no hitter was inevitable and they gave Lester that confidence to finish the job. Then the walk off, off Romano to boot! Sucks.

it was Wakefield that used to give me fits. it seemed like at least every other game I faced off against him he had a no-no going for at least 5 or 6 frames. but as bad as I was at hitting Wakefield, I never worried about being humiliated with a perfecto. Wakefield actually made me more patient at the plate. I remember one game against him he tossed a one-hitter at me but I still won the game beating him with small ball with walks and steals and sacrifices. really one of the most satisfying regular season wins I had ever experienced

            but yeah, knuckleballers, ergh
