Are Injuries broken in Madden?

I don't know if this has been discussed; I haven't seen any recent threads made on the issue. Sorry ahead of time if it has, but here goes:


In my Franchise, Eagles elite DT Fletcher Cox had fractured his Patella. This is a nasty injury that used to be "Career Ending" in older maddens. In this particular case, he was estimated to be out for a whopping 51 weeks.

Several Weeks later, I scroll over the league's injuries again and it says that he's only got 2 weeks left before he's healthy again......like...what??

I was going to get mad and call BS if I seen him in our upcoming game, but the Eagles did put him on IR, and he didn't show.....so I'm glad that works.....

....but how is he healthy?? I feel like he's going to get away from suffering a HUGE Injury Regression at the end of the year; which IS BS. I've seen injuries drop guys by like 4 attribute points in multiple areas.

Anybody else see this happen?

Despite being injured. a player will still take part in practice. They can get injured, and the new injury over-writes the old one. Check what the injury is now.

I never see qbs get hurt. At all. I had a scenario called Flat tire that made Rodgers be hurt for the game but he was still able to play with a ratings hit.

I'm experiencing the same thing with the "Invincible QBs".

Someone was telling me that it's tied to the Fatigue Dynamic; I have mine turned off because it still doesn't work properly in regards to AI management. I guess the side-effect to that is the QB's never sustaining in-game injuries.

Weird that in previous years a lot of us complained so much of the injury bug in this game, all your top players always got injured.

But this year I hardly see many injuries, if I do it’s mostly lineman.

I see plenty. Just never the QB. I know in years past you had to carry 3 qbs to see an injury but I can have 10 on my roster and never get hurt.

I just had Josh Allen leave for the game with a dislocated shoulder and I only have 2 QBs on the depth chart.

I had a QB get injured my first game. He came back after 2 quarters I believe.

I recently bumped up the injury slider to 28 and changed the gameplay to "Competitive" and noticed alot more injuries in franchise mode.

No major injuries like Achilles or MCL, ACL, but 4-5 week injuries with Torn Labrum being the most popular

I recently bumped up the injury slider to 28 and changed the gameplay to "Competitive" and noticed alot more injuries in franchise mode.

No major injuries like Achilles or MCL, ACL, but 4-5 week injuries with Torn Labrum being the most popular

I put the injury slider at 80 for a quick test and there was an injury on every play. Literally every play. Had to quit out and go back to 50.

Have not seen a QB get injured in over 100 games.

Nothing else to add here. No injuries do not seem “broken” to me.

So for the 1st time this year I had a QB get injured last night. I think Madden devs lurk these forums and did a stealthy hotfix.

For those who have seen QBs get injured. What kind of plays were they injured on? I haven't seen a QB get injured yet.

It is broken in the sense that QBs are pretty much invulnerable. I lowered a QBs injury and toughness to 10 and let him get clobbered and no injury.

So based on that, there really is no need to invest in a quality backup because I'll never need him.

I had Jalen Hurts get hurt for like 10 weeks. I don't remember the particular injury but it happened on the hand off on a running play. Other than that I've only had QBs get injured and miss a quarter or 2 sporadically. I have injuries at 30.
