Re: Changes to Oriole Park
So it's back the way it opened? Or maybe I'm thinking Detroit?

Re: Changes to Oriole Park
Man, I hope this made it in. I'm all for making home runs harder.
Though I'd rather they just soften the damn ball...would solve the problem at all 30 parks.
At least I can turn the user/CPU power sliders all the way down.Comment

Re: Changes to Oriole Park
I guess it would depend on does SDS go tour the stadiums every year for updates? For example, when Miami took down the statue in the OF was that removed right away in the game that year?Mets Baseball, All Day Every Day

Re: Changes to Oriole Park
So do homers work like that in the Show? Are the hits and hit distance independent of wether or not the hit will be a homer?Comment

Re: Changes to Oriole Park
No, I imagine it works like this:
Once the player presses the button to swing, power and accuracy are calculated for said resulting swing, and the game gets the ball's flight arc.
Then the game checks if the ball will clear that particular park's outfield fence by enough that an outfielder will not have a chance at a leaping grab.
If yes, cue that camera angle we're all sick of--the low-angle one of the batter that we wish we could turn off.
If no, proceed with the standard fielding camera angle.
At least, that's what I figure from playing since The Show 14.Comment

if memory serves, it was taken out IRL in November 2018 and the Studio had plenty time to remove it for the Show 19 releaseOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: Changes to Oriole Park
As of right now, the change didn't make it in.
We'll see if there's a Day One patch fix or not, but that's highly unlikely.Last edited by TripleCrown9; 04-01-2022, 12:06 AM.Boston Red Sox

Re: Changes to Oriole Park
Usually, SDS is pretty good about updating things that affect dimensions, so I wouldn't rule out a patch.
I feel like the urgency/quickness with stadium detail updates aren't what they used to be, though. For instance, the upper deck tarps in Oakland were removed almost five years ago yet are still in the game. IMO, that's a pretty significant change to not be reflected in the game for so many iterations.MLB: San Francisco Giants, Oakland Athletics (Sell The Damn Team, Fisher!)

Changes to Oriole Park
Toronto’s new video board missed the cut.
Globe Life Field is still a mess. The sun location is still wrong. The ground level seating area behind home plate is still wrong. There is still a generic Texas logo wrap around board behind home plate instead of adds. The suites and press area are still empty. The hitters eye and right center field wall are still not correct. I guess Ranger fans will have to just be happy with their middle infield because GLF received no love from SDS.
And as mentioned before, left field at Camden Yards didn’t get an up grade.
Dodger Stadium’s center field still looks too wide.
I did notice the new video board in left for the K. This stadium update is a year late.

Re: Changes to Oriole Park
I mean this isn't some little detail. This is actual dimensions being significantly changed. It not being in is pretty pathetic.Comment
