What happend to the days of playing as the Classic Teams like the 86 Mets? Old RBI Baseball use to have a Bunch of the Classic Teams....

Probably too costly to go out and get the rights to entire teams. That's where the roster vault comes in handy.

It's just a mis-interpretation as to what they mean by legend.

Legends are classified in-game as any player who is no longer active. Flashbacks are cards representing non-2022 years for current players.

I get what you mean by the disconnect though....it's weird to consider Jered Weaver to be a "legend" in the usual usage of the word...

Not all legends are in this video and their website says it will be updated daily.

I'm expecting Piazza to be back along with more new ones

Sorry for the ignorance here, but what for/where do you use these legends in The Show?

Full disclosure, I haven't played The Show in almost 10 years, as I did not own a system once I went to college and started my professional career. Bought a PS5 this past year and am excited to delve back into The Show next week!

Legends can be used in Diamond Dynasty (the card collecting mode). You can also play with/against "all legend" teams in Play Now games and there is also the option to start a franchise with the legend player pool active.

Also, if you edit the roster in the main menu, you can move Legend players onto the real life major league teams....so if I wanted to add Joe Morgan and Johnny Bench to the Reds' roster, I could do that.

How old am I now that Ryan Howard ,Chase Utley, Ray Durham etc. Are now legends. Seems like they were playing yesterday.

No need to unlock them for Play Now/Franchise, they should be assigned to a couple different "Legend Teams" based on the era the played in

If you do ever venture online to play Diamond Dynasty however, you would need to collect their card
