    Franchise - All-Star/Award problems

There has always been some award problems that's been going on for years now, but there are also a problem with the all-star game selections. For some/most this may not be a big deal, but to me it is. The all-star game selections problem I never noticed it until I recently started a franchise with the Angels.
I'm not sure how this factors in, but I only play Ohtani as a SP/DH, and despite having offensive stats that should make the all-star game, he only seems to make it as a SP. I'm currently at the all-star game in 2025 season of this save and Jared Walsh is .363/.423/.626 with 22 hr and 74 rbi and didn't make the all-star game. That's way better numbers than the two 1B that made it as reserves, and both have other representatives so its not an issue of them getting in because they're the lone representative.

Besides that, both of the postseason awards are broken and they still haven't fixed the NL DH Silver Slugger.

“DH” isn’t a position they vote on for the ASG, is it? So this is the same as a “1B” making the ASG even though he never plays there? Seems like it to me.

I wanted to share that Harold Castro made the ASG in my chise despite only having 2 HR and 9 RBI. He was hitting .303 so I guess that’s something but I found it illogical. (Not even sure he had enough ABs to qualify for the league leaders so his BA should barely register.)
    Just one man’s opinion.
I don’t actually care about any of this.

Did anyone else on his team make it or deserve to make it over him? Every team has to have a player in the all-star game so that could be why.

Aside from that, these are the little things that they continue to get wrong year after year. At this point it's better to just accept that it won't change cause they havent shown any willingness to do better.

My bad I should’ve said something about that. Nope, Austin Meadows made the team too so it wasn’t the one-rep-for-every-team thing. I didn’t look at the other candidates credentials because honestly I was happy he (Castro) made the team, but I highly doubt there weren’t 5 or 10 guys at his position who were statistically better.

I'm at work so I can't check at the moment if DH is voted on, even though its a starting position in the all-star game. I'm not sure if your example was about Ohtani or Walsh, but Ohtani is listed as OF even though I only play him as DH. The examples I was giving about the 1B's to make the team was in comparison to Walsh. I know in real life sometimes players get snubbed, but his numbers MVP-level.
