QB injuries
Has anyone been experiencing injured QBs? In madden 22 they were invincible. What about now?

Re: QB injuries
It might be related to whether or not you have a third QB on the roster. Or so I am told.https://forums.operationsports.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2049813056Originally posted by Therebelyell626I am going to create a team called "the happy town fundament rapscallions" and hurt your already diminishing image

Re: QB injuries
Nope, we all have 3 QBs in our league and still no QB injuries. It's very disappointing and one of the things we will be looking for in 23 before we buy.

Re: QB injuries
Yep, you’re right.
This is 100% a deal breaker for me.https://forums.operationsports.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2049813056Originally posted by Therebelyell626I am going to create a team called "the happy town fundament rapscallions" and hurt your already diminishing image

Re: QB injuries
I’ve read its connect to playing with progressive fatigue on. But who knows.

Re: QB injuries
If that’s true I may still get it but disable that. Besides since they patched it, my guys don’t get tired anyway since I always do light work.https://forums.operationsports.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2049813056Originally posted by Therebelyell626I am going to create a team called "the happy town fundament rapscallions" and hurt your already diminishing image

Re: QB injuries
I think it’s the opposite. I turn it off too and haven’t had a QB injury at all.

Re: QB injuries
Experiencing the same.....and it's terrible.
Not only for immersion purposes, but also the devastating consequences it can mean for a team. An Elite QB going down for weeks or even a season can absolutely ravage a team's initial perceived chances at getting to the playoffs.Comment

There’s something to be said about when playing a team you’re geared up to play and they’re missing their franchise QB though — that can be a bit lame.
It also brings to mind that I doubt this AI roster management can handle injuries that require messing with their roster at all, let alone at the QB position.
Like we get realistic injuries and the next thing you know the AI is playing a OT at DE and a punter at QB because they can’t build or manage their roster worth a damn and we’re crying about that instead. Tell me you can’t picture that.
I don’t trust this game with injuries or stamina anyway, i guess is what I’m saying, so they can keep ignoring them, whatever. Penalties too. Clearly they have no clue how to get any of them working right or they would have done so by now.Just one man’s opinion.
I don’t actually care about any of this.Comment

Come on over to Madden 16.
Seriously you won’t regret it.
If you want the closet they ever came to an NFL game on the field:
Tackling, gang tackling, drag downs, etc
Player movement in the Ignite engine was great.
Fatigue works
Penalties all work (sliders work)
Gameplay sliders all work
Injuries (QB and RB absolutely)
Auto subs work
Network CBS style presentation
NFL Network like draft presentation with Adam Schefter giving storyline color on picks throughout the draft!
Well organized league news section
Excellent head coaching carousel
Excellent WR/DB interactions
The game was the last Madden to have an NFL heart and soul.
Now in regards to injures. No off-ball injuries so what do we do to make OL depth matter? OL is the only position that does not get hurt in “played games” on Madden 16.
We have a sister team. So for example I am the Dolphins. So I go to the NFC East and pick a team for year 1. In this example we use the Giants. In simulated games there are OL injuries! So every week I check the Giants and if a LG is injured (no matter which one on their depth chart) for them then our starting LG is now out for the same amount of time. Move him down the depth chart so he won’t come in. It works well.
16 is not perfect. It does not have player
Editing capabilities inside franchise mode, no XP sliders, no practice squads, no formation sub menu outside of the game but again auto subs work and you can set up some formation suns in the huddle.
Yes it is missing some quality of life stuff.
But brothers……the gameplay is astoundingly great, and franchise mode works. I am in year 6 of a 32 team owner mode control franchise and the storylines are deep and immersive.
For offline franchise heads who don’t care about updated rosters and crave and desire a game that actually resembles what we see on Sunday’s before the advent of the RPO offense…yeah talking more old school football here (the pistol is in though if you like that) Madden 16 is your ticket to some console football joy.
Dive in.
