    7/1 - 7/14 Game Discussion Thread

    It's July....
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Happy Bobby Bonilla day to those who celebrate.

We're now past the halfway point of this deal (year 13 of 25).

Did not expect to see the tying run come up to bat after the Mets scored 6 in the 10th. Mets bullpen is atrocious

Vladdy still leading for 1B all star votes.

        Talk about a turnaround though.

First month of the season he was hitting .206 with a .643 OPS in almost 30 games

Since then he's hit .339 with a .940 OPS in almost 60 games.

He's entering his final arbitration year so we'll see if he keeps this up and what the arbitrator awards him if they get to that stage.

Never have I watched a team that is 10 games over .500 and enjoyed it less than the 2024 Braves.

Mets seem to love hitting in the 10th inning, eleven runs in the 10th over the past two nights

Mariners getting 1-hit by a guy who can’t spot his fastball tonight.

                Just an embarrassment.

                  Kirby 100% Felix’d tonight

Mariners are pretenders, even if they trade for a bat.

Polanco and Haniger should be on the street

Jays offense might suck this year, but seems like their players had no trouble scoring in the offseason.

Jansen just had a kid and as soon as he comes off the paternity list Justin Turner is going on it.

This Yankees season feeling very reminiscent of 2022; started off on top of the world, Judge was out of his mind, and then meh from July on. In 2022 Yanks were 62-26 and then went 37-37 the rest of the way before losing wild card to Boston.

Well, I'm watching them tonight pulling for a win over the Phillies...and man...frustrating to watch.

You could be watching Jose Cuas.

First pitcher in over 100 years (maybe ever) to hit 2 batters in just 3 pitches.

I'm surprised this is actually a thing. Would've thought at some point someone would've been petty enough to hit back to back guys on purpose during some feud at some point over the last 100+ years. Even I've done that on video games when I had enough of the other team and their rubber banding cheap comebacks.

speaking of things that happened for the first time in 100 years or maybe ever, Detroit hit 4 HRs and 3 triples in the same game for the first time in franchise history maybe! (going back to 1906, prove it happened before then, I dare you)
