What determines that you get a gold glove?

I was wondering what it takes to get a gold glove? Is it just based on having low errors? Or is it based on the amount of plays that you make???

I believe it's based on votes, so the voters can all have their own criterea of what it takes to deserve a golden glove.

Usually combinaton of hitting, fielding, and reputation. Thats basically what it comes down to. Guys like David Segui should have 8, but he doesn't have any. It's not all about fielding(although it shoudl be).
