    Adrian Beltre to the DL with...

    an injured testicle.

    It turns out that Mariners third baseman Adrian Beltre injured his testicle last night after a groundball took a bad hop and hit him in the groin area. No, he does not wear a protective cup.

    There was some tearing of the testicle and apparently is some internal bleeding in there. The team is going to wait a bit to see whether he requires surgery. If the surgery was to take place, he would need a month's recovery time. If there's no surgery, he'd need about 10 days to two weeks.


    First Aardsma with a butt boil that needed surgery and now Beltre with a partially torn testicle. What's next for the M's?

          I forgot to add he played the rest of the 14 inning game, singled in the 14th, and ran the bases on Junior's single to score the winning run. With a torn testicle...Ugh.

                  That's pretty incredible.

                  Just reading about testicle trouble is painful.

                          Not too funny to me, but as a third baseman he should definitely be wearing a cup.

                          Doesn't the DL normally say something else that's a little more formal and less specific though?

                                      I was listening to some Eugene talk radio today and they were discussing Beltre's future. Apparently this had not become news yet... lol.
