    MLB.TV 2014

They started taking subscriptions for the upcoming season last week and I'm looking for some feedback if anyone used the service last season.

So anyone have any thoughts on MLB.tv?

I have used it for the last 2 years and love it, if your a displaced baseball fan like myself its a must IMO. I am a from NY and a Yankees fan who now lives in Georgia. I had and will subscribe again to the Premium package, it allows you to watch all out of town games on your Game Console, Tablet, phone, Apple TV and computer. I had no issues with any of those sources and the quality was great.

I'm a Phillies fan first, but I am also a Tampa Bay Rays fan as well. I used MLB.TV for the first time last year to watch Rays games and had no issues using the service. It's great.

I live in the Bay Area, but outside of the Giants I'm also a big Braves and Red Sox fan. I watch all of their games that I can. MLB.TV is perfect for me. I also watch archived Giants games I couldn't watch earlier that day.

I'm expecting it to come to PS4, and I'd love to see if it will come with more/better features than the PS3 version. I'm hopeful of a Vita app to be released, but I won't hold my breath over it.

Could I "remote play" a PS4 playing MLB.TV from my Vita? Just wondering.

I wish they would change the blackout rules. I used to buy it even though I live in the Braves territory because I could fake the app out on my phone and make it think I was outside the viewing area, then I could watch the games. I'm not always at home when the game are, so I would purchase the service to watch the game while I'm out with my wife while she's shopping or something. I would also have the game up on my phone at home sometimes because I'd be gaming on the TV but want to keep an eye on the Braves game. But a couple seasons ago the at bat app got smarter and stopped that from working anymore. Haven't bought it since. But the service was awesome, no doubt I would get it every year if I was a displaced fan.

I think they changed blackout rules for this season but I COULD be wrong. Maybe that was about Fox Saturday Exclusivity.

So i have a quick question regarding the MLB At Bat App. (Nexus 7 Tablet). I purchased it last spring and I was wondering if anyone knows if I'll need to re-purchase it again for this year? Or is it a one time purchase?

MLB Blackout Restrictions will be scaled back in 2014. This means that any game that isnโ€™t televised on a national TV network will be available to people who pay for subscriptions to MLB.tv and such. Saturdayโ€™s, you donโ€™t just have to see the MLB Game of the Week on FOX.

So I'll actually be able to watch the Braves on Saturdays during the day if I'm not getting their game on FOX?

Thank God. That was the most infuriating part of MLBTV.

I really hope they've included Chromecast support with the app and website this year. I could open the stream on the computer with Chrome and cast the tab but I had to change the resolution to fit my TV and it was a bunch of nonsense.

I only used MLB.TV on my PS3, phone, and laptop last year. What is the best program to get to use it on my TV?

If you have a Smart TV ala Samsung, they have the MLB.TV app available.

Oh, you're asking about with those options? PS3 it is.

Just got an e-mail for automatic renewal. $129.99 this year. I don't think they offered me a $5 discount. Not that it matters.

They also mentioned the PS4 and XB1 being available this year and a new beta program coming out for PC (instead of using the website, which might be better to run DVR controls without having to use NexDef). Zero mention of the Vita in the e-mail.

Still wondering about whether or not Remote Play from Vita to PS4 to watch this thing would be possible?
