American League Wild Card - Mariners vs Blue Jays

Another intriguing series. I really don't care who wins, but would be cool to see Mariners advance.

Should be a good series.

Pitching is probably going to be the story of the series.

Castillo vs Manoah
Ray vs Gausman

Jays could very well not even have Berrios on the playoff roster if Stripling starts gm3.

Hopefully Espinal and Gurriel are good to go. Merrifield could slot in anywhere, but whatever they do, don't have Zimmer on the playoff roster!

Predicting Springer going "nuts" in this series. Jays in 3

Jays numbers vs Mariners have been very good. Outside of Chapman, I think all their main guys are hitting above .280 vs Mariners, with Springer and Bo driving in a dozen runs vs them this year.

Even pitching wise, I think all their pitchers who struggled vs Mariners minus Richards won't even be on the playoff roster.

Jays don't treat 2020 as a playoff year, but they do have guys like Springer leading the way with playoff experience. Mariners I'm not sure how many guys they got with playoff experience, but I'd imagine they're more the "rookies" when it comes to playoff action.

I think it would be a major upset if Seattle pulled out this series in Toronto.

Can't wait to see the crowds reaction to some Jays wins.

I don't think I'd consider any result from a best-of-3 series to be a major upset.

This is a very strange matchup for a lot of baseball fans in Vancouver. Everyone here would be rooting for the Mariners if they were playing anyone else.

I think that's true for a lot of Canada not just Vancouver. They are our 1977 expansion bros and the ultimate underdog team given how long it has been since they were last in the playoffs.
